....Not quite. I've not actually bought a newspaper for a long time now. Waste of time.
The point of my comment, if you failed to grasp it, was that Live Wired's 10 point plan was the rantings of your typical UKIP-voting, Mail-reading individual....

You really believe that??.....Reading most of your points, you come across as an extreme right-wing nazi....
Without wishing to pick too deeply into them....As a 'left-winger', do you seriously believe that if a person loses their job that they have been in for over 20 years, through no fault of their own, then that person does not deserve some type of financial help from the state while they strive to find another job, especially in times like we are in at the moment?

| Yes I do agree with that, especially considering the amount of taxes they have paid into the country.
irrespective of political stance, it's the total bone-idle sponging off the state and giving nothing back, that irks the vast majority. Add to that single mothers who will not work, claim off the state and promptly go out and have a "slagtag" tattooed on their body.
I know of 2 people who have not worked in over 20 years because they dont want to. Those 2 I could gladly see on the streets. They're officially classed as unfit to work, yet between them, have managed to knock out 6 kids with 3 different women!
On the other hand, I have a brother who has been out of work for almost 12 months, would do anything for a job and is 4 weeks from having his house repossessed.

Ok, I think most people would agree with you on that, though I struggle to see what somebody having a tattoo really has to do with the matter ( I have tattoos and have worked all my life??). I think you should have made it clearer in the first place.
By the way, could you just clear up how removing teaching assistants from schools and flogging kids red raw will bring about educational improvement?.....

But you are doing precisely what the Right do. Using one or two examples to demonise all of the unemployed, disabled, poor, etc etc. Classic Daily Mail.

| Teaching assistants are an absolute waste of time and money. Bring discipline back into schools and the days of people being kicked or knifed to death will soon become a thing of the past. Give the power back to the teachers to teach and not to mollycoddle. No surprise to see that teenage crime has gone through the roof since discipline was abolished in schools in the 90s.
Teaching assistants are just there to help the teacher who cannot cope in the 1st place, and therefore should'nt be in the job in the 1st place.
I know of 1 headmaster who would quite happily sack 33% of his staff for incompetence if he could. Only snag is the union and the fact that most of those teachers are already on long-term sick!!
Take the warrington primary school that miserably failed the Ofstead report (practically impossible according to 1 headmaster). A few of those teachers left that school and got jobs in another primary school ( which unsurprisingly failed an Ofstead report the followin year).

| 11/ Abolish this "affordable housing" bo********s.
All this does is generate ghettos. Carrington Park, Lysander close and Sixpenny fields may look nice now, but wait 5 years till the council buys them up and puts the dregs in there.
apologies to the decent, hard-working, law-abiding people who already live there.

WTF are you talking about? TA's do a valuable job in the classroom helping out the children that are struggling thus freeing the teacher to concentrate on the rest. Or would you rather have the children who through a variety of reasons that struggle in the classroom to be left behind and forgotten like in the "good old day's"? I also know that the reason headmasters cannot sack any of the staff has naffall to do with unions and more to do with the fact that only the board of governers can appoint or sack teachers. I agree that there are some bad teachers in schools all over but that's where the headmaster should then be doing his/her job by either training issues or a referral to the board. You really are coming across as a little englander on this thread.

I'm baffled....I never realised that knife crime and muggings only started becoming common in the 90's??
Also, are you trying to say that a 8 or 9 year old child, of lower intellegence and with behavioural problems, would be better served, in the long-term, being flogged constantly or to receive the more focussed attention of a teacher and their assistant(s)??.....Personally, I'd go for the latter, unless you want a generation of battered, mentally scarred kids roaming the streets in years to come.
Just another thing too....You claim not to be an extremist, yet at the top of your 10-point plan to make Britain great again, you condone of a policy that Hitler was famed for..... That is the elimination of certain elements in society, just because you deem them to be unsuitable??
Hmmmm, what's that saying, if it talks like a Nazi......

tbf he does have a point..just look at the morons who dont work and have no intention of working who take all the handouts going will have tatoos(how much is one by the way??)as for the discipline side or should i say lack of it,it takes me back to my school days in the 70`s you knew which teacher was a soft touch and those that were`nt..you could hear a pin drop with the teacher that was strict.in todays society a teacher cant even touch a child for fear of being hauled up before the judge jury and execution...rather daft if you ask me...bring back a bit of discipline if you behave you have nothing to fear..

Yes, I suppose he does......Everybody with a tattoo should be treated as a social leper and all schools should get rid of their teaching assistants and have them run by discipline-obsessed masochists who are only happy when dealing out instant pain to 8 or 9 year olds....Yes, good points....

Schools are places of education, or should be......They are not places where adults can be allowed to dish out abuse to children.
Rather than intimidate the kids at an early age, shouldn't they be encouraged and nurtured into responsible adults by trained staff (staff who LiveWired wants sacking).....Of course, children will occasionally step out of line, but to think that beating them back into place is the way forward, is simply a backward, neanderthal way of thinking.
