I'm always confident about beating Saints and this game is no different!!

I can already hear the Saints fans excuses if we do win, Cunningham was out injured, Long was out injured, the sun was in our eyes, the grass was too long!!!

Looking forward to this one, not fussed if we win lose or draw, just aslong as we win I feel its now time you took this game, our injury list is mounting and even if we do play Pryce and Gidley they are not 100% fit and will play with pain killer injections to get them through. We have done it with YOUTH before, wasnt so long back we took a weakened team and came up trumps, and if you keep dropping the ball and not finishing off teh chances you create we could be the team to seriously punish you.

Listened to teh celtic game on sunday, you owned the whole game but constantly let the ball go to ground, I am sure Tony Smith will have your men ready for battle and with foz N carvell you have the fire power to mash us and drain us and then leave it to your dummy halves to sling it around and cream us out wide.

Lets hope its nice and sunny for the beer garden.

If we can keep the ball off the floor we might have a chance. We may be winning games but our passing and movement is terrible. Big improvement needed and desire like against Wigan. Hope Briers is back to give us a bit of direction. Saints had a load of injuries when we played them last season so I'm not pinning any hopes on that one but I'm sure it will be close.

Incredible was abit OTT. It'll be a very very good result if we manage to pull off a win.

Even with a full team i'd be warry. You've always had the ability to take us close but i feel with Smith your more mentally stable and can hold out a game and not crumble.

I am not too bothered about beating Saints. Yes it would be nice. It will happen one day be it this Saturday, The end of August, in Sept / Oct or next year.

What I am more concerned about is the 3 or 4 games after the Saints Game. Too much emphasis is placed on turning up for the Saints Game. If we loose narrowly we feel sorry for ourselves for a few weeks after, If we were to win our season could end on Saturday night.

With my tongue firmly in cheek I think we should send out a weakened team, I wonder what they would make of that.

Indeed, should you lose, in the past it has resulted in a sever run of defeats. Will a loss this time see you tough it out and say "who cares" and get back to winnign ways straight away. Tony Smith has been the best signing for your lot I would say his attitude will be "its just another game, and heres the game plan" and shrug it off if his team lose.

I think we need to get passed inflating the saints game up in the way that we do every time. I know we are overdue a win against them but if the players feel the same way that we do then it will help cause errors through nerves when it is not required.

Hopefully TS is spending this week trying to calm the team and turn this into 'just another game' to try and take some of the pressure off them.

IF we do get whomped then it's not a worry, We all know there is still massive room for improvement but under TS and the team themselves will know there is still a long way to go. I would hate for us to win now and it install the belief that we are suddenly world beaters only for us to be brought back down to earth the following week.

This is a fresh start and our first ever Skints game under Tony Smiths guidance. It will certainly be interesting.

Have to agree pryce usually disapears against us its usually long or cunningham that cause the problems.

as long as the efforts there we can't complain,i hope we can win but nowadays i go to games thinking we should win.i'm quite sure all our past results mean nothing to tony smith,all he will be focused on is getting 2 points on saturday,this has been a monkey on the teams back for years not tony smiths.
