Catalans should have had far more penalties if the ref wasn’t wearing his Wigan gigs, I’m baffled with the standard of reffing in today’s game.

I didn't think ref. was a problem at all.

Not been many times were the ref is not the main topic of conversation. Nothing controversial tonight. It was the Davis sin bin that was the difference.

Don’t know why I do it maybe it’s for the laughs you often get but Redvee bitter to the very end.

Tbe grand final should be the shop window for rugby league, instead we got more of the same dull, slow and boring rugby that we are being force fed these days. The painfully slow rucks, extra man in no moving when move is called absolutely destroys the game.

The slope which drops a player straight down on to the advertising boards certainly doesn't work where those dead ball lines are marked.

There wasn't a problem with either yellow card. I thought Moore gave some pretty soft high tackles against Catalans but seemed less interested in anything the other way.

Still, it would be hard to argue Catalans were hard done to. They had no attacking play (like last week tbf)

Old Trafford is a dangerous setting for rugby league and it shouldn't really be played there without serious safety precautions around the field. Moreover, the tiny pitch and laughable in goal areas make grubber kicks a no-go and there's no real way to force a repeat set close to the line. It makes for a dull game and tonight's was one.

Pretty much spot on, I’m just surprised there as never been a serious accident with the small in goal areas. Can’t remember if it’s 1 or 2 years that it’s up for renewal. Needs to move away from Old Trafford.

This. I've posted after previous GF's that the playing area is too small at OT, and it has it's own unique player safety issues. However, the RFL make cash out of the GF being played there, and won't move any time soon. Another very dull final. Congrats to Wigan, they were the better team on the day.

They'd certainly benefit from putting pads on the hoardings either end of the pitch
