No Canterbury fans rate him either. But disregarding fans opinions, the guy is 26 and not ONE nrl club wants anything to do with him. And that includes that new club the dolphins who are scratching around for players!

Which means he'll be man of steel over here according to Aussie fans. Apparently he's suddenly rated highly and will tear opposition apart and immediately be man of steel. These are genuine comments from Aussies saying he's a better fullback then half the players in the NRL currently. Must be something wrong for nobody to be interested, he's been none existant in the games i'll seen this year and last year.
I asked the Mole about Dufty signing for next year and Mikaele coming over this year, he hasn't replied but has liked my comment. Read in to that what you will?

| If we do sign Dufty and play him at fullback instead of Thewlis I won’t be renewing my season ticket next year for the first time in over 40 years.

| Whether Dufty is the greatest fullback in the world or a chancer who sees pound signs when Wire are mentioned, it's still a ridiculous signing if true when a fullback is the least of our worries.
Waste of cap space & waste of a quota spot.
Why isn't kisscamkarl tapping up prop forwards.....because that would make sense, that's why!
Never mind, if he's been to the magic round whilst he's over there then what's the betting the HJ gets a "flying fox" skycam, just what we need!!!

| If the Dufty rumour is true then I will back Powell on the signing for now.
Now I am gonna say something here that people will laugh at so here goes.
When Powell was in charge of Leeds he had a young No 7 called Rob Burrow that was 20 years old but then signed "journeyman" aussie Andrew Dunneman from Halifax. Halifax only won 7 out of 28 games in 2002 so I would guess the Leeds fans weren't over the moon with that signing and probably saying exactly what we are saying.
Burrow made his Leeds debut in 2001 and had played just short of 50 games before Dunneman arrived. I wonder how many games Thewlis will have played before Dufty lands. Now I am not saying it will turn out the same way but if Thewlis ends up with half the number of Grand final rings as Rob Burrow then I would be happy.
Thewlis is the future but even the most one eyed wire fans must realise he is not the finished article and I would think that Josh Thewlis himself knows that just as Burrow probably did at the time..

No if as accord to Guardian website it’s a done deal and according to the poll on there 60% say it’s a bad signing.

Didn't Dunneman play hooker for Leeds?

I didn't wish to be reminded of the terrible day that he signed for us. I still cannot get the look of total glee and amusement on Charlie's (Lower Angel landlord and Widnesian) face, out of my mind.

Sorry, but the feeling of animosity towards the player and hostility to the Wire hierarchy seems the same.
This is happening, before the player arrived here, just like the Currier debacle
