Aww, you mean a shirt with a picture of a little bunny coming out of a top hat?
Or one with Paul Daniels on it?
Both are about as sensible as Ant Man!!

| England did a centenary shirt a few years ago:
That was a good one. We actually had a nice Zingari shirt a few years ago too:
But both of these had sponsors plastered all over them. I’m talking, use modern materials and shapes (so have a white trim around the next but no collar), but have replicas of those old kits.
England RU did it a few years ago with this:

Now that is bloody lovely!
I’d love for Magic Weekend for the next five years to have teams wearing numerous old style kits, no sponsors, modern shapes and materials so they’d sell. Would be class!

The two I’d have back for sure would be:
The Brian Bevan white kit with primrose and blue hoops on the torso and sleeves; white shorts; primrose and blue socks
And the one I posted above with Harry Bath holding the Challenge Cup with primrose and blue hoop shirts; white shorts; primrose and blue hoop socks:
https://youtu.be/uDKhUccSoc8
I know we had one for the 2015 WCS but it wasn’t quite right:

No white collar or trim around the neck (see Leeds’ home shirt this year), hoops were too thin, no white shorts and it had sponsors all over it.

Think WF actually meant traditional wire shirts rather than what you suggested was meant

Come on, everyone, it's a bit of fun. ISC did this in Australia first of all and they picked up an award for it ( www.licensing.org/about/awards/previous-winners/) in 2015, one of few occasions where rugby league merchandise gets any international attention.

It's simple really - if they sell well it's a success. If they flop then the club know they need to try something else.

What's fun about it? If your idea of fun is that the team wear a themed shirt then why not do it several times a season. It'd be fun if players in different positions wore different coloured wigs. should we just just come up with any old idea because it might be fun. The fun in Rugby League should be from the enjoyment of the game and the time spent socialising when friends, family and fellow supporters. Other gimmicks don't add anything to the game.
If Marvel were paying money into Rugby League and the RFL/ISC/Marvel were generating interest off the back of it, I'd understand it.
It might have picked up an award in 2015 but these can be pretty much meaningless if the result isn't more interest or money in the game.

| From what I understand our contract with ISC is up for renewal and that the club is also looking at other kit suppliers.
