Why would 'he', after all, the poster might just fancy going to the away games....? Great effort that and btw you don't need to actually watch the game to have an opinion, it just might not be that informed.
In fairness, I don't have a problem with anyone 'voting with their feet', I just find it difficult to understand why anyone would do it before a ball has been kicked.

| As ratticusfich said on a previous thread, what calibre of player were fans expecting us to sign? We have got three very good, young english payers added to our squad. A first grade nrl half back, who hopefully will have settled in to his new surroundings for this season. A prop who Wayne Bennett deemed good enough to put in Brisbane's 17 for the grand final. And most importantly, we have rectified the one problem we have had since briers/hodgson/mick monas went, we have signed a natural leader. Personally, I cannot wait for next season.

| Quote LJWire="LJWire"Couldn't agree more, not lived upto the hype just hope he isn't another Mickey Learmouth
Think it's been a shock for him the step up in physicality and quickness of thinking and general play
Hope he comes good but he needs to realize it's a team game and gets rid of the slapped booty sulky side when things don't go his way'"
Amazing that a player who struggled with the physical demands of the U19s is deemed able enough to be in the first team squad.
Bet O'Brien is a bit cheesed off after seeing that.

It is a bit of an odd one,the lad obviously has potential and has showed glimpses last season up until he was injured
Looked like he had the 'best player at school syndrome' and then everyone else catches you up
Hope he kicks on next season in the academy but can't understand like yourself how he has been included in the 1st team squad ,must have been part of the deal when he signed from Leeds maybe

| The squad definitely looks a bit thin when you get past the first 20 (ok a bit optimistic), so which teams have real depth? Is this a result of the salary cap combined with wage inflation?

I wouldn't say it looks thin,it looks by and large unproven but with a lot of potential and these players have something to prove for one reason or another
I would rather have these hungry players than players that are on their swan song looking for the retirement home, think we have got a good mix of experience and youth

Definitely. Not sure what is gained by doing this after one year and the squad would have to have a half-back catastrophe to get any game time. Also seems unnecessary pressure on the player.

| It was probably just part of the deal when signing Morgan Smith from us, he was a talent at school age rugby but has always had an arrogant side to his nature. From what I've seen I do think he will end up playing 9 in the future but I'm not sure he'll hit the heights expected of him.

| Maybe those that work with him each day think he'll prosper in a first team environment. I like my half backs nice and arrogant, the best ones are.

| Two centres and a prop short in my mind, R Evans will not improve on previous years he is what he is - injury prone and its a spot wasted, Atkins has to improve greatly to warrant his spot. With Penny I wonder whether its a preference of his to wear the number he does?

| Some of these moves are related to the U23s as well, it will be interesting to see how playing resources are managed between three teams. On paper there doesn't seem quite enough bodies to cover it.
Incidentally no-one talking about Livett getting promoted to full-time, he has worked hard for two years and I doubt he will have an issue with the step up.
