plenty to chose from within spittin distance of the ground you go the original wire the rodney kings head three pigeons or its a 5-10 min walk into the town centre where there is plenty

So much for the alleged request from Leigh for the south stand allocation. As of this week they have actually sold around 2000 tickets. The west stand will be plenty big enough and some.

To be fair that is very good considering them being a championship outfit a lot of superleague clubs wont bring as much support

This thread brings back memories of when Hull and Hull KR used to say "prepare for an invasion" Then less than 1000 would turn up.

To be fair it's only Maurice coming up with the inflated figures; I think he sometimes goes too far in emulating his namesake!

We've sold 2,200 so far mind and the ticket office is opening late all week to cope with continued demand which is encouraging. Should be a cracking atmosphere, I'm sure.

Would think anyone with a dose of realism will know that we'll do well to get within 20 points, but you never know.

We have played Warrington away twice in recent years and you will probably find your quote is a little unfair.

We took over 3000 to Wilderspool in the early naughties for the QF of the CC and well over 2500 for the SL season in 2005 when Wire pipped us 26-22. The crowd was over 11500. After all, it was our first away game of the season and none of knew what would unfold !!



As already stated, we averaged just under 5000 that season getting wallopped week in and week out. In todays terms, that aint too bad at all !!

Some folk just don't like a 'small club' having good times/being on an upward spiral do they ? Can't wait for Saturday...win/lose/get stuffed. But our priority is the 'middle 8's' this season, and the next season etc.... assuming we don't make it into SL this time. For us Leythers, Saturday is just a day to 'enjoy' (unless we lose 80-0 like Wakefield did) but for Warrington (and I fully understand this) the challenge cup is your best chance of getting to a final this year, and you feel like you NEED to win this game. My prediction is Wire 44 Leigh 20 - hope I'm wrong !!!!
