| Tony Smith will never be fired - However, I think he is a complex enough character that when he goes it will be a bolt out of the blue and might even be sooner than most would suspect, or like.
He seems to me like somebody who is constantly analysing his, and the club's, situation - I would reckon at the moment, the question of whether he has took Wire as far as he can, as probably crossed his mind a few times, its bound to have.
I certainly don't want TS to leave just yet, but I'd hate for him to stay too long and ruin his legacy in a Paul Cullen sort of way, and I reckon Tony Smith might be thinking similar.

Smuth has done a great job.
He's dropped a couple of blowtox this season, but lets hope he's learnt'"
If Smith has had the 'benefit' of reading your posts then he will definitely "learnt" a great deal and there'll be no stopping us next seasonn

| If I recall correctly Edwards was in the frame for us when Anderson got the jo. Allegedly using interest from us to get a better Union job.

| Shaun Edwards' relationship with the Wire is more complex than stated. Jack Edwards was, in my opinion, one of the greatest half backs to don the primrose and blue. He sustained a career ending injury and, so I understand, felt let down by the way he was treated by the club.
In recent times there has been a rapprochement with Jackie taking his rightful place in the hall of fame and so now I would not dismiss the possibility of Shaun being in some way connected to the Wire but I would not put money on it. In the pre Cullen era I think he would have had to be seriously desperate to sign for Warrington in any capacity.
His credentials as a coach are credible enough and he certainly has the prominent publicity profile for it, but all this talk is pie in the sky, as anyone who advocates the departure of Tony Smith is just plain barmy and I hope Smith himself does not read such ridiculous comments.

I notice plenty my little latex 'friend', but, the thing I notice most is that facts are very rarely connected to anything you come out with on here. Your 'facts' have plunged from misguided, but, mildly entertaining opinions through to embarrassing via irritating.
BTW I'm happy to consider opposing views to mine, particularly if they are well thought out, even more so when they have an element of the 'heart being in the right place' rather than bell-endery.
I see no value in our correspondence at this time, so I must bid you fairwell and happy bathtime

| Quote chunkyhugo="chunkyhugo"TBH with all the money spent to assemble a quality team yet still failing to deliver the GF success the fans crave, the answer is a huge YES IT HAS. The CC wins have merely papered over the cracks. Something is wrong and you have to point the finger at Mr Smith when he has such a talented set of players at his disposal.'"
Just to put some perspective on this garbage - During Tony Smith's five years in charge there have been 2 major prizes a season on offer, totalling 10 trophies..... Of those 10 trophies, Wigan have won 4, Leeds have won 3, and we have scooped the remaining 3.
Add to that, apart from this season, each year has seen a significant improvement in the team's performance - To suggest Smith has failed is complete nonsense... Admittedly, he is probably reaching a point where unless he delivers the Super League title, then he has only one other way to go and that is backwards, but at this point in time it is absurd to say Smith has not done a very decent job.
