| Personally I think the kick off time and venue is perfect.
I came into work the day after we beat Catalans and asked for the Sunday off (I'm working 10-4 in Manchester), and was told 'no'.
Knowing full well Wigan V Leeds would be the Saturday game I was resigned (and absolutely gutted) to missing ours then suddenly a 5.30 kick off about £20 in a taxi away from work got announced. Lovely.
As for the casual fans who are missing out because they couldn't get standing tickets when their season ticket holding mates did or seats together with those mates, I really couldn't care less about a single one of them. I got a standing ticket on general sale, and seats are still available now to anyone who doesn't need their season ticket holding mate to hold their hand. If you want to go you can get a ticket, if you can't be bothered then that's your prerogative, but don't expect an ounce of sympathy from someone who wouldn't dream of missing it if they can possible help it.
If the crowd is about 10K all in then it will be a relatively full ground with a big atmosphere and if Wire get to Wembley I couldn't give a flyer who else is there or isn't, I'll be made up.

| Perhaps the fans that buy tickets for the semi should get first call on Final tickets (if we get there) ?
Honestly thought our allocation would get snapped up, poor show that it hasn't.

Still standing tickets available (south stand), bought three on the net about half an hour ago. Will be a bit like the semi against Wigan 3 years ago, we'll have a few fans mixed in the Shuddersfield end...
Get back to the UK on the Thursday, Wire on the Sunday, can't wait!

| Just seen that Warrington have just been alloacted additional tickets by the RFL. I'm sure the club would not have requested them unless they think they could sell them. Didnt we get 5000 initial and then and extra 1000 (or was it 1500) so until this additional allocation, how can we have physically sold many more than the stated 6000 in any case

| I doubt there will be many Wires on the Huddersfield terrace to be honest. We got Wigan end tickets after selling ours out in 2009 but as long as we're still selling seats they won't give us any for the South Stand unless they become the only tickets left.
Obviously it's up to you if you want to go in there and just get them from Huddersfield though. At least you'll have a bit of room unlike us at the other end!

Wolves receive more tickets for the Cup Semi-Final
They just have !
With just over a week until the Carnegie Challenge Cup Semi-Final Warrington Wolves have received an additional allocation of tickets for the upcoming clash with the Huddersfield Giants.
Following high demand for tickets from Wolves’ supporters, the RFL have sent the club an allocation of South Stand tickets for the standing terrace behind the sticks. The tickets are available in WolfWare, at WolfWare Online and on 08448 11 11 76 priced at £18 adult and £9 concession/junior.

Supporters need to be aware that this will be a mixed stand of both Wolves and Giants supporters. Let’s outcheer and outnumber the opposition as the team target a place at Wembley once again.
Match tickets are also still available for the seated areas of the Salford City Stadium in the West and East Stands priced at £26 adult and £13 concession/junior.

| Haha fair enough. Hopefully the Wires in there congregate directly behind the sticks. Huddersfield's lot will love that!

I think you are massively missing the point.
I agree that anyone who would really like to go but hasn't got a ticket because they aren't season ticket holders and only go occasionally with season ticket holding friends doesn't deserve sympathy - but then I expect the vast majority won't expect any either and will be happy to watch on TV. That's not the point. The point is that a Cup semi-final ought to be one of the biggest matches of the year. Everything that can be done to encourage people to attend should be done. Any obstacles (real or perceived) to attending that are put in the way will only result in lower attendances.
It's not sympathy for those happy to watch on TV I'm looking for - it's a healthy sport with healthy clubs. That goal will always be harder to achieve the more we discourage people from attending matches.

| Quote SEB="SEB"It's pretty poor if we are honest. We allegedly have 30,000 fans at Wembley and 50,000 lining the streets for the trophy parade. Yet only 6000 care enough to get a ticket with just two weeks left to go?
I do think the 1 per season ticket rule enforced by the small stadium has ruled out alot of occasional fans.'"
You can't compare it to Wembley, Wembley is an event in itself, some people go before they know who the finalists will be.
The 1 ticket rule though is a little miserly though i agree.
The way the CC ticket sales are going i would have just let people buy as many as they wanted.

Fully agree. I'm saying I expect all 30,000 to attend the semi. But more then 1 in 5 isn't much to ask is it? 1 in 3 would give 10,000 - reasonable I would have thought?
