A bit harsh to start attacking the lad when all he is trying to do is get a point across. It may not be his fault that he has spelling issues. The lad wants to get behind the team both vocally and by the way of flags, shouldn't be attacked for that.

You're not allowed to take in flags in to Old Trafford. Pre-approved flags run by a ahem fan group and in no way paid for by and connected to the club are hung from the second tiers. These flags add nothing to the atmosphere by the way and neither do drums.

Leave it out lads, he goes my college and I actually agree with him. There's to many people who go the game and not watch it. I know of people who go just to impress people. And yes, that is what society is today. And yes, I completely agree with what you're thinking.

I agree that a flag doesn't add any atmosphere, but they looked very good at the bottom end when we were at Catalan this year. We had them up in the pub over there and it just adds to the occasion. The drum being banned would not be good news because this is what generates most of our atmosphere. I sit in the North Stand and when there's a chant with a drum, it really makes a difference. Most games it's pretty bleak and dire to be honest. Atmosphere depends on the opposition, we should take note from the European football teams when they play away in Europe and chant and make noise all the way through. HJ would become a fortress then.

When I go to a game I make a lot of noise. I cheer my side on all the time, but I don't really want a drum next to me and I certainly don't want some idiot with a flag in front of me so that I can't watch part of the game. Nice that you can agree with him when you choose to sit in the North well away from the drums. People seem to forget that 99% of the time Wilderspool was like a Morgue, it was only on those special occasions that it bounced.

Exactly... Only Big games we come alive at home. But big games away we're a force to be reckoned with (however that only seems to be the people who stand at the top of the tiers... The rest just seem to sit down and clap when appropriate) I think its to do with an away game being (especially Saint/Wigan) an all day event, people drink more and when they're in the ground they are more likely to join in because they've had a few... Home games I don't know what happens because there are plenty in the Tavern/Looking Glass/Railway/Kings Head/Rodney/Red Lion/ getting tanked up before kick off ...

Like I've said many times before. Where I stand we chant and sing all the time but we're lucky if 5-10 join in... Whether its a good song or not, if everyone were to join in it would sound good! The website tells us time and again they want to hear us sing and the players love it! We sang the 'Ryan Atkins' song and he turned round with his face lit up clapping us. You could tell he was impressed.

Get behind the players in times of need and lets face it, right now we need to get behind the team now they seem to be out of sorts... We could be the extra bit of lift that makes them click
