You've been unbelievable at times this year, but from someone who's lost their fair share of Final Eliminators, it is a step up to deal with the pressure.

Someone on another post said they can't get over it, we were the best team by miles this year and yet we still haven't got to OT. Can't help but feel the same. Worried for where we go from this for next season with major players leaving it could be a regression year rather than progression. Hope not!

Well having contested all playoff series since they started in 98 it's [umy opinion[/u you won't get a better chance.

That's not to say you won't do, probably when the odds are stacked against you you will.

Its a weird system.

It just about getting into a good enough position through the weeklys and then being able to win the pressure games.

It's a true test of champions IMO and bar football most major sports do use an end of season playoff to decide the champions.

Best team by miles? How do you make that out? You rightly finished LL but finished a whole 1 point above a Wigan side that's had to play 37 (?) consecutive weeks, including at least 2 finals! In addition you met Wigan in the league on both occassions when it best suited Warrington; 2 weeks after the WCC and the week following the CC final. On the one occassion the teams met with no distractions but the game in hand you were comprehensively outplayed. Putting big scores on lesser teams doesn not make you 'the best team by miles'. In the 2 games that really mattered this season you've come up short.

If you'd want to lay claim to being the 'most consistant team this year' then that might be a fair assessment, both in the positive and negative sense, but you did it under the most favourable conditions a season could possibly offer. To be the 'best by miles' you need to be able to handle the pressure of the big games, win under adversity and in the process carry all before you. Not win the LL by 1 point and crash out of both major competions without making in a single final! Get a grip man!

Beating Wigan home and away won Wire the LLS.

Lose one of those games and its Wigan who are the best team by miles all year.

im not a wigan or wire fan but i had a feeling leeds would win last night they had no pressure on them same as i think saints will win tonight or and by the way how wigan fans can call anyone arrogant is beyond me

But we didn't lose one of those games. We outscored Wigan 63-18 over the two games. Dominance.

...and lost the one that mattered. Not dominance. Not best by miles. Better in those two games and a point better over the season. That's all. On the other hand lost the quarter final and have failed to make the GF from the most advantagous position. How would you describe that? Dominant and best by miles, or chokers and not as good as the teams you lost to? Or more realistically, that the truth lies somewhere in between?

Its only fair that the warrington supporters should get all p1ss taken out of them now. For months you've been saying your the best team in the world, but what you've shown is disrespect to other teams and even though you've looked good on the field, you've looked awful off it. For your coach to not turn up for the club call was a joke, its his job to lead his team but decided just because he didnt like the concept, he wouldnt attend. It was unprofessional and showed lack of class. Its not the fact that you got beat thats making you all a laughing stock....its the fact that you all set yourseles up for a massive fall.
