Bevan played most of the time at left wing, did play for a short while at centre and I remember one game agaist Saints at loose forward, when I think he banged a drop goal over.

Frank Reynolds was a fabulous centre. Unfortunately he was very injury prone with dodgy knees. Murphy reckoned that he would have been a "great" otherwise.
My dad used to liken him to the true "great" Jim Challinor. Praise indeed. |

From my early memories, Joe Ropati, then Allan Bateman, i remember a game against Bradford at Wilderspool in 94 where he compleatly outplayed Paul Newlove, and there were scouts from Cronulla in the crowd who had come to watch Newlove, but were blown away with Bateman's performance. In the superleague era, Toa Kohe Love was pretty decent.

Don't know where I'd place him in the pantheon of great centres but Gidley is awesome. Absolutely loved his finish against Wigan. He's living proof that age, nationality and salary mean jack all - ability and attitude is all that counts and he's got both in abundance. |

For Warrington in the past 15 years or so, the stand out centre's has been Gleeson, technically the best. Kohe-Love was great for a couple of season's. Nigel Vagana was also a top centre, best year's not with Warrington but he had a good 12 months with us.
