I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good signing (I've never heard of him so have absolutely no idea) but he doesn't appear to be what we need IMO.

Hull had too much size last year. You had Sao, Ma'u and Satae and Savelio on the field at the same time with players like Griffin and Fonua on the flanks. The more mobile sides moved them about and tired them out after ten minutes and the game was over.

What can you do brother, knock teams out of the playoffs, on their own midden, or possibly beat them at Wembley in a cup final, not much more left for also rans to do.

Skim reading the Aussie reports it seems that you could be onto something which would get a thumbs-up from me as we'd be a bit more dynamic on the edges and in the middle something I think Powell would be able to use.

I'm not a big Hughes fan especially at 2nd row and think he'll be off our books come the next contract renewal

From the write-ups, he sounds like an old fashioned 13, none of this modern extra prop nonsense, and he would definitely be handy if Powell is intent on playing an entertaining, running game.

Obviously, it'd be a punt, but after the years of watching Clark and Hughes plod about, anything is worth a go, surely?

Currie and Holmes can be kept on their toes by the magnificent Longstaff as well.

I think Powell will know that moves ending when they hit the 2nd row or lf has been a problem for us.

Magoulias hasn't played many games in the NRL so it's a gamble but at least there's a good chance he's coming as a career move rather than just for a paycheck. I wonder where this leaves Hughes, bench I guess but maybe not even making the bench if all are fit? I'd rather Longstaff myself.

If we don't sign a prop we are going to have to move the ball about more effectively and faster, we won't be able to bully teams IMO. Maybe that's a good thing in terms of indicating the intended playing style?

Feeling quite positive about this and it surely means that Jason Clark will not be retained. At 24 he is at the right age and has a kicking game. Phil Kinsella reckons that Harrison has a good passing game so the pack is looking much more mobile so looking forward to a new playing style.

Was on about last season, and in context with the rest of this thread that is currently running at however many pages. Read the thread and you’ll see it’s not a pop at Hull in particular. But you’re always welcome to come and air your insecurities on here ( but we probably have enough of our own).
