Some of it must be incompetence though. Professional teams should be able to complete passes while running, we almost always fail.

What we have is a backline that is too inexperienced and are prone to errors or misjudgement and they eventually end up catching up with us.

Anyone slating them after tonight is merely doing so because they have an anti-Powell agenda.

We are fatigued. Conditioning letting us down plus being outpunched in the middle.

Lack of composure, blind panic, one out runs, not closing down in the tackle

Lots of effort but little direction and no reward

You make your luck. We've bombed 3 or 4 gilt edged chances and made a lot of unenforced errors.

We are low on confidence. "Seriously poor" is not a fair description of the side tonight.

Not sure a conversation about the backline even commences before we talk about how ineffectual Holmes, Mulhern, Currie and the rest of the forwards have been.
