| Catalans mistakes kept Wire in the contest. Second half Wire had plenty of ball and field position but no creativity. Best team won. Micky Mac produced an outstanding display and totally outplayed his opposite number, which he invariably does in big matches.
Best part for me was seeing Stuart Pearce's face at the end, priceless. Free ticket and can't raise a smile for the winners!

| Quote WireWireWire="WireWireWire"Dodgy decisions going their way. For me that Catalan player steps up and wraps his arms around Philbin. If he was impeded he wouldn't have attempted a tackle. Bad call. The other that pees me off is the Garcia try. He is down with 3 players on top of him. He has been stopped. And yet because of extreme luck the ball lands on someones foot, he's allowed to re lift his arm and put it over the line. That's a double movement to me.
I see McIlorum trying to start a fight when we got back into the game. Trying to rile Westwood up, the grub. Edwards not far behind.
We are throwing passes we don't need to. I wonder what pur completion rate is. Can't be high.'"
It was an obstruction every day of the week, look at the rules.

No idea where you're coming from with that comment Lefty, I've watched my team have a dire season, but I've seen them lift the CC a couple of times recently and don't even get me started on our record in Grand finals HTH
Good luck for making the final 4

I realise you've never played, reffed or coached so understand you have little sympathy for the players but come on give 'em a break. Matey!'"
Even if he as never reffed played or coached RL he still knows crap when he sees it.as we all do...but well done Catalans you really deserved it today

No argument but it's their team effort at making ground and getting over the gain line that won it.

| Outplayed and out enthused for most of the gsxr there were chances but we were unable to take them.
Key players for us did not perform the spine was broken early on and we couldn't turn things around.
Fair play to catalan they deserved their win today and its great to have a new name on the cup would rather ours again but we were not at the races on this occasion.
Too soon to start the full post mortem on it but few players can come out of this one feeling hard done by.

| Agree we didn't deserve to win. But even so we had more than enough chances to win.
Initial impressions - Cats didn't just use the big men early on. Shifted the ball a few times and it caught us out.
Halves were very poor and possibly only 3 decent kicks all match.
Philbin, 2 Kings can hold their heads high.
Basic errors on 1st plays, no pressure built, wrong choices taken and and and
Very disappointing.

| Widnes would have given Warrington a game today. Terrible game, matched by the pathetic attendance (not your fault I know)

Ha ha ha ha Brilliant
I'm Hoping Sitaleki will find some Form now and Bodene can add something extra for us. I definately think we need a big Prop for next year, as i think we are still a bit light. Jason Clark isn't i big powerful guy he just has a good engine and is a workhorse. We need a big unit who will pack a big punch.
Get rid of Brown aswell we need a quality ball playing half but not sure there are any out there?
Very lacklustre performance today, Tyrone Roberts apart from his big break which he messed up was awful. Drop him and give patton his chance. And why not give Luis Johnson a run out??

| Big well done to Catalans & great to see a new name on the trophy. The win was thoroughly deserved & the front foot rugby was the prime winner for les Cats ,something we couldn't live with ,& their ability to go full length on a set of six tackles was the killer that the Wire couldn't deal with or replicate.

| Still struggling to fathom where that performance came from yesterday. We've played so well in every other round of the cup and then suddenly returned to our early season standards in the final. Brown kicking out on the full, lineham going for the try line on tackle one and going into touch, patton not finding touch with a penalty, headless chicken style attack in the opposition 20, did charnley even touch the ball? Credit to catalan though, we simply couldn't make metres in the first half.
