The damage was done well before the game. I can see Wigan having to play at least one game at Leigh later in the season when the pitch gets its annual re-lay.

Latics can't re-lay it each year now seeing as they no longer have prem money and are plummeting. Funny isn't it?

That pitch is going to look really bad for the world club series, it's an embarrassment to super league. Wigan athletic are playing there on Saturday so will probably be even worse than Friday night.

Wigan have no say whatsoever... they make no money from the facilities, they play games when they are told and their pitch looks like a babies nappy.

Praise the lord we're run properly and dont have to put up with such rubbish.

From the Wigan site the pitch has been relaid ready for the Latics game, maybe that will help for now but the area is prone to a little dampness.
