| Quote: Boss Hog "I too can`t believe that many other players from BOTH teams were not cited after watching yesterday`s game.
Crabtree & Bridge were trading punches in an all-out bar room brawl. Other Huddersfield players then joined in on Crabtree`s behalf, meaning that Bridge was taking on 3 or 4 Huddersfield players at the same time with some major blows dished-out & received.
How Bentham then only sin-binned England & Brough defies any logic.
Bridge, Crabtree & the other Huddersfield players in the initial boxing bout should have all been Red Carded.'"
Bentham -like much of the stadium- was watching the try being scored, not bridge spitting his dummy- so probably wasn't in a position to know what started it to be able to send anyone off. Given the number of players involved the disciplinary could well have banned most of both teams if looked at retrospectively. I can honestly say I've watched Eorl play since he was a junior- there aren't many games he's played in I've missed- and I don't ever recall him throwing a punch in a game.
The most I've seen is him square up to Bailey and laugh in his face about 4 years ago. Whatever bridge did he must have seriously deserved it to rile Eorl.

So as long as a player deserves it then it's okay to punch someone? Hmmmmm, family sport my arris!
As for England, if he's guilty then i'll not argue with any ban they see fit to dish out.

| First of all, innocent until proven guilty. Video evidence is VITAL in this instance, or we could be potentially opening a huge can of worms. Trial by moral outrage is already onto it's third page of the thread, only a few hours after the charge was raised, and fans from clubs not involved in yesterday's game have come bowling on here, baying for blood, when players in their own team haven't exactly been paragons of virtue in the last couple of years. I think we all know a couple of names who'd fit the bill.
IF he is guilty, ban him for the full tariff. He wont be doing it again, and staying on at the club.
Yes, spitting is a pretty loathsome thing to do (if he has done it). I'm sure he'll be reminded of it at every away ground he visits in the future.

| Is this the same England who was at Cas as a youth. If so saw him against the London kids a few years ago down at Aldershot and he went berserk, really berserk. Got a red I think and the coaching staff had to drag him to the bench and just as he got there he broke free and charged back throwing some more before being dragged of by the staff again. Seemed to have a short fuse!

Hmmmm did I say that it was okay to punch someone??? Nope.
In over 10 years of having played against the toughest players in the sport some from the other side side of the world he's never punched another player. All I'm saying is he's not quick to anger.

| Has he supposedly spat water from a bottle or an out and out spit? Not saying the former isn't horrible but there is a difference in grubbiness imo

No, he spat in Brough's face on the pitch - apparently he then squirted water towards the Giants bench from a water bottle on leaving the pitch.

| I think some people's reactions to this are a bit over the top. Did he spit at someone or punch a granny?

And there we have it
no need for an investigation, disciplinary procedure, Judge Death has donned his black cap
"Send him down"

Giiii Oooeer... Ya big Jesse... That's good old Yarkshire Rugby Laaague...!! Bridge deserved to have seven bells knocked out of him by 4 Hudds players... Plus Clark deserved to be picked up and spear tackled into the ground... Yes bit of rough stuff that's how they like it in Yorkshire...
It's mans game this !!!

| Based on what I've read about the incident he should plead guilty and get a ban.
Very disappointing (and disgusting) as I'd never had him the type of guy to do that.
Don't think he's ever been up before the disciplinary before.
Why did he do that ? Was it a reaction to something ? (not condoning it in any way).
I'll reserve judgment about getting rid from Warrington.
As for the rest of the incidents - sounds like it was very niggly and action packes away from the actual playing of rugby!

| Huddersfield have proper played the victim on this one!!!, let's see the facts, brough at no stage has or was spat in the face, if he had I would expect him to have kicked off massive not just walk off,,
There is rubbish being put on here as someone knows a bloke who is best friends with a gardener who's dad was there,,
bridge at one stage had 4 blokes knocking bells out of him,, but that's ok,,
Flower was backed by Wigan,, let's just see what kind of club and fans we are for England,,, interesting week ahead,,,

| ''Flower was backed by Wigan'' - just about sums up their attitude to thuggery.
But taking your point - I wasn't there so it will be interesting to see what comes from the judiciary.
What had Bridge done to have 4 blokes on him?
