It Was Les Boyd who recommended him to the club...its probably why Teitzel gets so much stick, because people were expecting a les boyd and that type of player doesnt come around very often do they....

Wasn't he known as the 'Butcher'?

correct, because he was in fact, a butcher.
i thought dave king got unfairly treated here, copped a lot of stick for being not very good, especially since we were playing him out of position at prop, when he was a big built second row who had done pretty well at huddersfield, which is why we signed him, he got a run in the back row towards the end of the centenary season and did pretty well, before we released him and he went back to huddersfield, and ended up playing as a centre.

| I cannot believe the comparison with the no marks of yesteryear who were not good enough to lace Chris Hill's boots.
He is still a work in progress and will not be at his peak for a few years yet but he already approaching world class

Mafi and finau were possibly johnno's last signings just before xmas 05, he picked them up following the Centenary World Cup, which one of them, can't remember which, didn't play a game.
Just think, we had mike ford playing for us that season as well. mind blowing that.

| Surely some massive "wooshes" going on here.
Pretty sure the original OP was trying to be sally cinnamon and if so certainly has a bulging keep net.
Chris Hill has been fantastic again this year and I don't believe anyone could be anything other than appreciative of him.

It's a fair cop. I would say he is our best forward by some distance this year. I still can not get my head around how someone can come into the side and play like he has over the past two years. He has eclipsed Morley and Carvell. Have a look at SL Stats to see his figures. He has to be a shoe-in for the England side in the Autumn.

I've got to agree Chaz, the guy has never taken a backward step, let alone look out off place from day 1.
Treat yourself to an extra bag of Werthers this weekend and enjoy your RL

|
| I know its very early in the season and he has "inexperience" against him this year but how long before CH is a contender for MofS?

| Sam Tomkins is head and shoulders above anyone else in SL this season. Probably nailed on to win it again at this stage.
