Basically we don't know. We had a HKR poster saying he thought they were taking JL on loan - its the first we have heard of it. I hope he stays with you the rest of the season. You have a great club and set of supporters and Wire get a lot from loaning their up and coming players to Leigh, I hope the club realises this and treats the partnership that we have fairly. It's a two way street.

From reports I've read the short spell at Leigh has appeared to have been good for Laithewaite. I feel his level of performance in the u20s had stagnated to an extent over the past 12 months such that Danny Bridge and Saltonsall had both been given 18th man duties for the first team before him. He has been playing week-in week-out u20s for a number of seasons as he pretty much by-passed the u18s age group from my recollection.

The opportunity for him to get Super League experience at Hull KR under his belt is too good to turn down for club and player. It could be the making of him as a player long term.

Either way I would be suprised if he doesn't get/hasn't already got a contract for next year with Warrington.

Not entirely sure why some of you are telling Saddened! to jog on? He's contributing to reasonable discussion, not trolling in the slightest. Some of you may be better off finding a Warrington dedicated board if you don't want other teams fans posting too.

For what it's worth, although we have shown interest in both Currie and Laithwaite I can't see Warrington allowing either of them to leave without a fight. Especially Currie, that lad is going to be special if he continues his progression at the current rate.
