And this for me is the problem with this absurd concept. If a club chooses anyone other than the team that finishes lowest in the weekly rounds they will be seen as arrogant and setting themselves up for a fall. For a sport renowned for adopting 'interesting ideas', this one is perhaps the most bizarre. |

Indeed. No club has yet had the nerve to raise their head above the parapet and choose a side other than the lowest ranked.
The concept is fine, if the lowest ranked team was flying you could pick another team ravaged with injuries and lack of form, but no club will ever do it IMO.
Super League isn't a great competition so it means whoever finishes top or second is pretty much guaranteed to beat any of the other sides at home in the semi final so they don't really care. It would be interesting to see it in the NRL perhaps as they might have a reason to not pick the lowest ranked team as it would like feature some dangerous players. |

The concept isn't fine, it is ridiculous and makes a mockery of our game. A pure gimmick, with no singular redeeming element to it. |

It has to be the lowest ranked team, to me the clubcall is a ridiculous gimmick and should be scrapped.

They have introduced Club Call into the Under 20s play off's for the first time this season.
Wigan (1st place) and us (2nd place) both won last week and Wakefield beat Leeds at home today and Castleford won at Hull FC.
This meant that Wigan had the choice and have selected Wakefield who finished 4th in the league even though they could have chosen Castleford who finished 7th! So we now play Castlford next Saturday.
This is the first time a side has not chosen the lowest ranked side available!!!
