| to go 24 points behind and pull it back within 2, to me shows the spirit within the side. Wigan were at full strength, our Captain was out along with Harrison, 2 big forwards that make a lot of impact on the pitch. Also Briers who would have kicked them round the pitch. Take them 3 out of our side, we will struggle against the top teams

| First 20 Minutes we were terrible. We should of scored first when we were on there line. Our defence leading to there first try was woeful, Myler coming out of the line and Leaulai spotting the gap. Give Sam Tomkins space and he will punish you. Stupid errors and silly penalties allowing Wigan time and space to score. Having no Briers, Morley are 2 best players maybe a different game. No excuses we were terrible. But we did try even if we did drop the ball or made stupid decisions. But we will bounce back. Hopefully that will be a kick up the backside for the rest of the season.

| Numerous individual errors from virtually every player on the pitch (dropped balls, poor defensive reads, lack of concentration etc etc) led to collective defeat. Unfortunately they all seemed to come in the one game.
Never seen Westwood have such a poor game, he completely lost his head at one point which also led to another conceded try.

| The effort was there, we were just well and truely beaten by the better team on the day.
Wigan started how we've started through most of the season. They came out the blocks firing, the forwards made good yards, Leuleui was awesome from dummy half. We didn't expect that and that's what killed us.
Monaghan, King & Solomona before he was taken off were our best players, three standout players just isn't enough to beat Wigan, as I said too many players below par and also our lack of composure and execution in certain areas were poor compared to Wigan's. Take the Monaghan kick for King on the second tackle - nice idea but not well executed.

| In previous years we would not of had the sprit to come back from 22-0 down and could of been embarrasing. We conceded far too many soft tries yesterday through poor reads, not contesting the ball etc. On a positive i thought Cooper stood up well.

| You had 3 sets on the wigan line in the first 4 mins, against any other team that was 6 points. Your players didnt have the mental toughness when we held you out and then went down the other end of the pitch and scored.
All the easy wins you have had this season did you no favours at the weekend.
You had no answer to being held out and then having to defend and the mental effect of this was huge. Before you know it you had panicked and were 22 points down

| Watching it back, the comeback was remarkable. The loss of Solomona and the Hodgson dropped ball after the King try really halted the momentum which we then never got back.

| Gutted we lost, but over it now, would be worse if we had nothing else to aim for.
Five things stood out for me on Saturday.
1, Thought Louis was terrible, certainly at fault for one try and his tackling technique was poor. Yes, it is a crowd pleaser when a big shoulder goes in, but sometimes you really need to use your arms. He needs to take a good look at his self, If he cant get up for a big game like that and that’s the best he is going to produce from now on I would drop him and give a youngster a go, its very disappointing because we all know he’s better than that.
2, Thought solomona was having the best game I have seen him play for Wire, and when he went off the team just seamed to dip, never known him have such affect on the team
3, Felt sorry for Hodgson, he just seamed to be doing to much, Michael Monahan was doing his damndest because Myler certainly did not stand out so just seamed to be up to them two to create anything
4, Thought our bench looked light weight, but one big pleasing point, thought Mike Cooper had his best game for Wire, very strong, I hope he kicks on now
5, Singing Sam Tomkins is shiiite was beyond cringworthy, despite the moaning he does sometimes, the lad is undoubtedly a fantastic Rugby League Player and I for one would love him in my team
All the points were from the day, I have not seen the game back and were caught up in the game so these thoughts were just as I viewed it at the time may be a little out, so I am open to correction.

| When your guys pulled it back I was quietly crapping myself.
I really wished we could of had your King at Wigan he was brilliant for you lot and would really strengthen our right hand side..... we can dream i suppose..
Regarding Sam Tomkins you have to admit since all the hype and booing he does seem to of cut out all the silly holding on and looks like hes learned his lesson.

I shouldn't rise to the troll but maybe we was expecting to walk over you like we did at Wigan Athletics ground earlier this year. Also after coming back from 22-0 to 22-20 how can you say we don't have the mental toughness?

Sums the game up perfectly. Always going to be very tough without three top players but a couple of our guys with poor decisions and technique made it even harder. Solomonas injury is a huge blow to us.

So coming back from 22 points down, equates to lacking mental toughness? I would suggest you re-evaluate your definition.

| I cannot take any pride in Saturday.
We were only a converted score from letting in 50 on our own patch....not good enough
Bar 25 mins (ish) we "stunk the house out"
Those first 5 minutes, where we had some pressure on their line, summed the game up for me. We looked devoid of ideas.
The next quarter of an hour was worse than any part of the earlier Hudds (a) game
Too many players had their poorest games in ages
We let some of Wigan's attackers "tear us a new un", each time they had the ball.
Over the years, I've took SOME pride over the epic Stains defeats, where we've gone toe-to-toe with them for 80 mins, yet been unlucky. But to take pride in a game where we've shipped in 8 tries at home...nah...count me out.
Let's stop blowing smoke up our own collective bottoms, and realise we were dominated for the majority of the game
Bradford up next...we need a convincing win. I dare say it'll do the squad's confidence the world of good.
Come on Wire.

| I'm still disappointed. I said we needed a big game from 3 players to win, Monas, Myler, Hodgson. 1 played brilliant as always, 1 was extremely quiet and the other just had a stinker. I'm not blaming any individuals though. As a team, we weren't good enough on the day, simple. Proud to be a Wire, proud of the last 2 years in the cup, but not proud of Saturday's defensive efforts.
Wigan can play better than that, but not by much. In contrast, that was our worst performance, especially defensively, of 2011. So I'm not worried, there's a long way to go in the league yet and we still have our 2 leaders to come back yet. Take Tomkins and O'Loughlin out of that Wigan team and they'd struggle to beat one of the top teams.
Congrats to Wigan but in 2 weeks time I will be cheering on the Red V of Sintellins. And come the final, I'm hoping Cas lift the trophy (unlikely, but not impossible).
