Why on earth would anyone want to do that? I'm a Sintellins girl myself, though I've lived in other places during my time, but at present I work in Warrington. There may be only six miles between the towns but they are worlds apart. I couldn't understand anyone wanting to move from Warrington to St Helens; not anyone with any sense anyway. St Helens is a no-hope town.
Sorry you got booted out btw. I was kind of looking forward to a last clash between us at KR! Mind you, the thought of it was also making me nervous. The hoodoo to be broken at the last ever game there would not have been a Good Thing for us!

well said, this is the opinion of a true rugby league fan, someone who would rather a big challenge and a momentous occasion see the famous old girl say goodbye! well said, if only some of your other supporters spoke as much sense!

Last win at KR was in Jan 1994, 21-11 with Mike Gregory, Rob Myler and Lee Penny scoring our tries and Jonathan Davies kicking the goals plus a drop goal.
We were top of the league at the time and had knocked Saints out of the Regal Trophy at KR a few weeks earlier, so winning away at Saints although still a good result, did not have the sense of history it otherwise would if we had known then that would be the last time we ever won at the ground.
Man United were top of the Premiership with Blackburn chasing them. John Smith was leader of the Labour party and miles ahead in the opinion polls so looked like he would be the next Prime Minister. D-REAM were top of the charts with "Things Can Only Get Better". How ironic.'"
I was there we beat Saints 3 times that season..
Like you said earlier in the thread the Knowsley Road hoodoo doesn't exsist..I'm sure some Saints fans think R.L. only started at the launch of Super League...

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |

| These Saints fans are so up themselves. I can remember Wire beating them 3 times a season. Twice at their place, and no I'm not 114, I'm talking about just before Wigan won their last cup.
As for why would anyone move to Sintellins, I know of one reason to move there.

Well I'm pretty much the same age as Paul Wellens. Last week I heard the commentator say "the veteran Paul Wellens" and it was disturbing.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

It's all relative. If Paul Wellens is appointed as a Regional Manager for Millets next week, people would be amazed that they'd appointed someone so young for a senior position. They would also be amazed that Millets had appointed someone with such a distinct lack of social skills, personal hygeine and basic intelligence to a customer facing role.

My thread wasn't a gloating/trolling at your exit from SL attempt either, it was more a 'damn, no last battle at KR' thread.'"
Oh aye. Like you are the most confident person in the world who would have relished the prospect of possible defeat to your neighbours in the last ever game at Knowsley Road.

I can understand that. Mind you it must have been quite a shock for you waking up one morning and realising that you lived in Warrington.

Why not make the switch to the Wires then, Alan Hunte did.
