The Weststigers played with a talented team that had a total salary that peaked at 2.8 million dollars for the year, that team was the best out of all teams as they won the Grand final, the Storm did not, even though the cap was being breach during that period.

Back to what I mentioned earlier, no other team was good enough to beat them.

The boys should be proud of their accomplishments, both singularly and collectively. Ray Price of the Eels was asked if the 2009 premiership should be given to the Eels, he said no, that's not how you win.

It's good to see that Melbournes blatant disregard of the rules has been dealt with in such a manner that will hurt the club in all the important areas, however i do feel for the fans. I also think that it's only a matter of time before a certain SL club gets found out for breaking salary cap rules!

I do find it funny when fans of clubs who have been found guilty of doing it point the finger at the ones who haven't.

Looking at clubs with a track record for blatantly ignoring the salary cap the gambling man would be putting money on the Goons I reckon.

I hope people don't try and draw a link between Michael Maguire's previous employers (salary cap cheats) and his current employers (salary cap cheats). That, in my opinion, would be outrageous, incorrect and bloody wrong.

I don't think anyone in SL is in trouble over the cap. The RFL and SL don't have any power to do anything meaningful or the guts. They have had the chance in the past when Wigan blatantly cheated to stay in SL and passed it up.
