He annoyed the hell out of me as head coach, but all the vibes seem to be that he's a bloody good assistant. Given Che's (see what I did there all you fussball fans) philosophies and insistance on attitude and whatever, Jimmy must have alot of qualities as I think he's made it extremely clear from the outset that he isn't prepared to work with anybody that doesn't have this.

Folk have questioned alot of Smith decisions, alot of folk intimated that there'd be some sort of 'Cull' just as soon as he could, both on the playing & coaching roster, well, I think he's made it pretty clear to date, handing out renewals to the likes of V.Anderson, Briers, now Lowes, if you have the quality of character and want to be here, there's a place for you, fall beneath these standards, like Gleeson, and maybe that Physio, you're gone.

Rubbish - Jimmy wasn't Culls defence coach - Cull was in charge of the defensive structure. Also, Jimmy has had a big say on the training field and was pretty much in charge the week we trounced Bradford at Odsal in April.

As I understood it Lowes basically took over from Mike Forshaw who was the defence coach at the time and he was certainly described as the defence coach on many occasions. Of course Cull had overall control over all aspects of the team but I think you will find that JL key role was in the defence. Whatever the legalise bit was the defence sure didn't get better when Cull left and JL took over . The stats and our eyes tell you that.
