Bridge has been quality at centre this year. How you can go from recommending Carmont, to criticizing somebody for standards is beyond me.
Carmont is decent, but if we're looking for a replacement for Gleeson, then surely it would be better signing a right centre and somebody who would actually be an improvement on Gleeson? |

Has Bridge had a poor game at centre this year? From what i have seen he only looks bad when he plays in other positions

Hmmm, earlier in the thread, Bridges defence was your issue. Check out Atkins, paper stuff.
You should just be grateful that you've got that body of yours, or that chip wouldn't half weigh heavy on your shoulder. |

I'm sorry, but what else are we supposed to think when we see Chris Bridge playing brilliantly when he's played at centre?
Remember the Hudds game at home this year when Hicks scored a hat-trick, Bridge was heavily involved in all of the good work down that side, he was excellent and looked more than good enough. When he's played at centre, he's been excellent and Gleeson going has not been felt, but for some reason you keep on criticizing him without citing any examples to support your argument. Saying "his defence is bad" then saying you'd like Atkins here just smacks of irony. |

Shenton is an excellent centre i agree there...Atkins defence is awful and Carmont is a very solid performer but not world class IMO...

and Mitchell and Blythe look promising the rest aren't up to standard IMO and looking back it says it itself we are dominant in the pack and under achieving in the backs !which means our back line is crap but puts in the odd performance but not consistent enough from a good platform ! |

Only difficulty with trying to compare these two is the fact that Bridge has played a lot in the halves, even when he has been named at 3.
That said, I think his stats would possibly be even better had he been in 1 position all year rather than a utility. |
