Eastmond is far better than Tomkins by a lot. And so is Myler.

There is no doubting the guys quality. Can he do its week in week out. Look at the guys figure, he looks like hes been in the game at this level for years.

Its a lot for a young body to take.

Happened to Scully and he was knackered from 25 years onwards.

Tomkins has still to put muscle and size on yet, and to me there is nothing between them.

Thats why i would take Tomkins before Eastmond.

So figures determine future?

And you take Tomkins because he aint got one?

The point is, Eastomnd has strenght that Tomkins hasnt got YET. There is nothing between the players.

Tomkins is class in an average side. Eastmond is class is a fantastic side. Myler is class in a crap side.

The fantastic thing is they are all British.

Tomkins is no where near as good as the Wigan fans make out. They are suffering from castleford-itis wherby if a youngster makes the first team he is classified as a future GB international. He doesnt have that X factor that both Myler and Eastmond have. Dont get me wrong, hes alright and will make a SL career, but he wont be anything more than a matty smith/Luke Robinson type player

all the talk of getting a promising young lad in with plenty of scope.

the problem with that is that they will still need developing to progress to "star" status.

my point is, i don't think warrington have the capability of bringing that calibre of player on and getting him to the best in our game.

Warrington would have been better off bringing in someone like Dobson who is still very young and very proven.

I wanted saints to get him until he signed a new deal with kR.

My Knee jurk reaction to eastmonds performance last night leads me to think that there was no need to get dobson anyway.

This opens again highlights the issue over why our youth development isn't producing the quantity and quality of players that St Helens are producing.
