| Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"that was Craig Teitzel that played in the side that finsished top of the league in 94....?
talk me through Monaghans positives today without mentioning his tackling ...'"
First of all why can't we mention his tackling? In Smith land defence is everything and Monas is a machine. His tackling technique is near perfect and he must clock the most tackles? No doubt you are first to criticise Briers when he [udoesn't [/udo his fair share of tackling.
Ok his passing was a little off at times as was his kicking - although I thought his kicks were ok today. I would like to see the interception again as the Hull player was WAY out of position and had the pass been just a couple of seconds earlier said player would be left standing and we were in for a certain try. One of those 50/50 things I reckon.
He made woods try - a turning point in the game I think. To point out one kick to touch is ridiculous - most players will duff the odd kick to touch. Although I agree some one could probably do a better job of that.
Give the guy a break - he continually puts his body on the line. Took a shoulder injury early - but you wouldn't have noticed as he waved the physio away.

| I wouldn't mind Monaghan as our starting hooker, with Higham coming off the bench. Not sure who would take Clarke off our hands though.

| Monas man of the match,This is yet another game i was waiting for monas to grab the game by the scruff of the neck!!It did nt happen,
He must of been pushed all the way for the m.o.t.m by,
Moz,mathers ,ben harrison,and even king,
Very poor hull performance,Only scored off our mistakes (twice)
very average wire performance, won the game in a 10 minute spell in the second half.
If we would of played any of the top 6 today at home we would of struggled to get the win,
But eh,2 points is 2 points,
In Smith We Trust...

You are way off the mark. He made that passing mistake in the first half but didn't play any worse than many in the Warrington shirt. In the second half he was superb and was the key factor in that excellent ten minute scoring spree.

Yeah, I thought he was pretty good for a spell in the second half. He was in a acting half role, and he kept going back to the Hull right & looked to be tearing them to pieces. He got a bit over excited at times and gave the ball away cheaply early in the tackle count, but I think that was because he was actually enjoying himself & confidence was flowing really.
If it was a marks system, he'd be like 1st half 5, second half 9.
Yet again, been said before, the diffwerence in him when switched to nine from seven is massive. It's just like he's a billion times more comfortable, and he sees the games from a position that he's able to interpret the game better, andtake better options & run better lines. He's ten times more creative from hooker than halfback.

i was begining to think i was the only one that could see he is crap.
his passing is shocking he doesnt even look half the time, then stands there hands on hips thinking why did i do that, then does it again. as for his kicking from penalties we hardly gain yards.
he needs to go he is not the same player for us. as he was in auss.
sooner he goes the better. miserable git.

| Quote the tache is back="the tache is back"
he will leave without giving us all enough memories but i still think that he would of been capable of more had he not been a stop gap signing filling in where he was not most comfortable.'"
Just a thought tache - whos bright idea was it at the club to get a stop gap signing in a position where he wasn't comfortable on a four year deal? I am presuming it was only a small contract but still, four years seems a long time for a stop gap fill in. There are so many variables which could have gone wrong and whos to say the guy we had got lined up for 2012 would still be fit and in as good form.
I would have rather we spent the money on Johns as a stop gap for a season and then got the guy we had lined up in earlier.
