Not to my knowledge I just wish him all the best if true. I guess if it is a loan it doesn't contractually/financially affect the testimonial position from an RFL/HMRC view point.

He has never made a secret that he wouldn't mind retiring at the end of the season.

| A loan wouldn't make sense for him or Warrington. Even if he isn't first choice, he'll get a lot of game time with injuries and rotation.
Hope he retires here, he's been a wonderful signing and hopefully can be a part of getting us some more silverware this year.

the reason why you haven't ever heard or seen this is obvious.

It would if it would get Atkins a contract beyond 2019. It would also make sense for Warrington if Burrell was good enough to act as cover for 2019, thus freeing up salary cap space for a mid season signing.

Exactly. If he wants a contract for 2020 he needs to be playing regularly in 2019. Price has dropped him twice this season and he's clearly on the outer.

He's "cheap" in the sense that a small proportion of his salary counts towards the Cap. However, putting the cap to one side for a moment, he will still be on a big wage in cash terms and I can't see us spending that to have him sat on the bench.

| I think it would a big mistake to get rid now. We have been very lucky with injuries this year and last. Even though he is obviously not first choice at the moment we are short of back cover. If we had a few injuries (like some other sides) we'd regret our actions.

King
Goodwin
Mamo
Burrell
Even Currie or Hughes could fill in at centre.
Get shut for me. He's a liability now.

Burrell? I think we ought to see him play.

| Seems to be heading for a rather sad end to what has been an illustrious and successful career at Warrington. Been a great player for us. Hope whatever happens he is allowed to leave with some dignity
