| I'd take losing a final at Wembley every time over losing a semi final.

Agree, as bitter as it is at the time losing in a final is still better than not being there with a chance to win.

Don’t even see Castleford do that and I’m sure you’d all agree they’re a small club. Also, Coote is a better player than Ratchford, of that there’s no doubt. A starting fullback for NRL GF winners alongside the likes of Thurston vs someone who has been a utility player up until recent years.'"
At the risk of cliche, we take each match as it comes. I love winning semi-finals, and I'll celebrate them, thanks. I hate losing semi-finals, as I suspect does every fan, including you. A good win is a good win, whatever happens in the next match. Your opinion of the full-back debate is a valid one insofar as your elevation of Coote over Ratchford goes. Funny though, how a pro journalist like Gareth Walker of the Mirror found it VERY difficult to decide between them. There is [iplenty [/iof doubt as to who is best.

I think one of our fans on Red V made reference to the current MOS standings i.e. Ratchford being well above Coote. The response was that there was instances whereby Coote had played excellent but had still been overshadowed by other saints player during these games. I'd accept that argument if the top ten in the current MOS chart was riddled with other saints players but it simply isnt! We have three of the top ten, Cas have two and Wakey have two...in fact Coote is the second highest saints player behind Roby in 15th spot on 6 points........so he hasnt been performing THAT well behind Roby!!
In fact Coote is only the 4th placed fullback behind Ratchford, Shaul and Evalds.

| Yes, that video on Redvee is awful.
I'm really confident we'll have these, by 10 or more.

| MOS standings mean nothing for Coote. Difficult for any saints player when according to most of the selectors roby is always the star player no matter how many people have better games than him. He's good but honestly they seem to have saints down as a one man team which they definitely aren't.
FWIW I think Coote is a great signing and a fine player. Just like ratchford.

Cheers. I might copy and paste that. Couldn't have put it better than that.

| I don't know why Wire fans get in to arguments with or start baiting Saints fans. At the end of the day, they have been far more successful than us over the years and even recently the head-to-head balance is slightly in favour of them. They've won 6 out of the last 10 and 11 out of the last 20 against us which probably reflects the relative balance of power. It feels like tempting fate to get in to a slanging match with them.
If it all came to a global war against Wigan we would be on the same side as Saints so lets focus on what binds us and not what divides us.

That's getting a bit Churchillian isn't it ? You will be exhorting the Wire forum to fight the pies on the beaches and in the hills next (if we had any). And what about attendances ? The West stand will be deserted if we wipe out all the Wigan supporters, Karl F will go absolutely bonkers.

| When Saints play Wigan, I want Wigan to win. If Saints were playing the Martians, I'd cheer the Martians on.

| Couldn't give two Pooh's about the plastic scousers.
They can't even say "bottle" (you know, that thing they do in semis) properly.
Wigan, Widnes and Leigh are our local rivals. Until Stains became a force in the mid 90's, our attendances against them, prove this.
