So who turned up?
I have been to all three. Work it out, somebody must be taking a few thousand.
If every club took 2k, that would be 28k. Add in a few neutrals and there's your 30k.
Now think about the fact that Crusaders took about 17, Catalans had a few hundred (as did a couple of teams to be fair) and some teams will have had to take 3k to get the numbers up. The likes of Salford and Quins also had poor turnouts.

All memories of the legendary venue which was Wilderspool stadium. Gone maybe, but never, ever forgotten.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Possibly, when you break it down like that. But when I have been in the ground it has just never felt that many, making me think that many people were just neutrals.

It is difficult to tell, as quite often many of the sets of fans sit seperately which I find strange. In all three now Wire fans have got together and made a hell of a noise. Leeds take plenty but all sit around the ground so you can't really tell.
Saints numbers were way down last year too. I believe there were 6k tickets sold in Scotland so there were plenty of neutrals, but realistically a few clubs must have taken a few thousand.

For our game we actually had the corner, similar to Cardiff in the first year. KR had behind the sticks next to us.
People had sort of congregated there because that's where the sun was shining!

This is true, you guys and Hull KR seem to sit together making a better atmosphere. I have always said they should sit fans together to make a better atmosphere.... and move it back to flipping Cardiff.
For noise though, we were the best last year, mainly because of the result, I have never seen anything like the scenes on the concourse after the game.
I would love to play wire on the magic weekend though, that would be fantastic.

Do you actually mean that last bit?
It would be a fantastic match but the quota on each side would be upped considerably.

I thought the Wigan v Saints atmosphere was a very good one. It was obviously in the evening when most people had had a few, but also, in the build up Saints had been pretty much a load of whinging gits, so had no neutral support at all. Everybody was up for Wigan (pretty unusual in itself!) and it was a good party atmosphere when you gave them a good hiding.
