We signed Solomona who was a better player.

He may have been useful as a goalkicker for one season, before Hodgson signed, but I am not sure which of Westwood, Louis Anderson or Harrison you would justify dropping to accommodate Tickle.

I'd have had Tickle...he's at worst a Hughes that can kick.

I'd rather stick with Jack Hughes. he's young and if he can find the form he had in his first season with us we will have a very impressing pack indeed.

We don't need a kicker anyway, we have Patton, Livett, Ratch, Roberts and historically.... Westwood Not sure if Goodwin is a kicker also?

We were pretty blessed with top quality back row forwards over the years we would have had him - Anderson, Westwood, Waterhouse, Currie, Grix, Harrison, Cooper, Solomona off the top of my head.

We had not just numbers there, but a decent mix of options of dynamic ball carriers and heavy grunt and aggression.

Our youth players who came through all seemed to be back-rowers too - Laithwaite, Blythe, McCarthy, Mitchell etc.

We wouldn't have signed Waterhouse had we had Tickle and Westwood as 11 and 12, so on that basis I guess we'd have had a better starting 13 IMO. But given all the players named above, it's not that big of a deal.

Rather than Tickle, I'd have liked to have signed an actual specialist LF over that period though.

I cant answer about Roberts although I've seen him kick on tele. However the differce between the fore mentioned and Tickle is he is prolific.
