| All adults in all areas of society have a responsibilty to act in a particular way when in the presence of children. When I had a season ticket in the East Stand, intially with my seven year old and then without after he decided he didn't want to go anymore, I was always aware of my surroundings and adjusted my language accordingly. (Occasionally the odd expletive would slip out, but would be immediately followed by an apology to those around me).
I find it disgusting that a child can be left feeling so upset or fearful that they don't wish to go anymore. Surely the club/stewards should take this sort of behavious, particularly in the East/Family Stand, very seriously indeed. Ignoring the moral issues, losing one child as a fan forever could cost the club thousands over the years in lost ticket and merchandise revenue. All the community awards in the world mean nothing if fans of any age, but in particular children, are too fearful to go to games.

| Im considering bringing my young son to his first game in the near future but hearing stuff like this is making me think twice.
Surely thats not right?
The only saving grace is that we are in the North Stand and its a bit more sedate in there, what with all the old folk.
If I do take him and hear any foul or abusive language then I will certainly put the culprits in their places.
Incidentally, what do all those hired 'gangsters' do for there money? Not alot from what ive seen. Instead of marshalling the crowd they just seem to lean against the nearest wall chatting to eachother or watching the game!

A couple of years back when we played Huddersfield at the end of the year, I had some nutter from Barrow stood next to me going absolutely apes'hit for the first half. The stewards removed him and rightly so, other than that, I've never seen somebody removed.

| Quote Robbie Rotten="Robbie Rotten"Different people have different ways to show their disappointment. I just leave early, I've never booed and never will, but I can accept it if other fans do it, they have their right and if it's deserved, then it's up to them. But anything more than booing is over the line.'"
I can never agree with booing - I can understand the shouting more, as this can be a knee-jerk reaction - where as booing isn't.
Saying that, If I thought that I was the kind of fan who is prone to losing there temper, without planning on doing so at the game - I wouldn't sit in the East stand, around the families - It's just bad manners to do so !!!

| I must congratulate one steward in that stand though who acted so quickly on one particular incident stopping what could have been a nasty incident. We were sat on the front row in the corner near to the South stand and my 9 yr old son with his 3 mates were sat immediately behind us. At half time, we stood up to stretch our legs and my son, put his feet up resting them on the back of my seat. Straight away a steward punced on him telling him to get his feet down immediately. Other people were doing this all around us, mainly adults not one word said. Just as one word not said for any of the abusive language. Oh and for teh East standers that always leave early, please do just that, leave. Don't walk down to the front of the stand as your going then stop and stand in front of the kids whilst you watch a bit if the match on your way out. We've paid for seats too.

You would be much better emailing Greg, rather than relying on him reading every post on here.

I agree but maybe not Greg. I emailed the club about the West Stand kiosk on Saturday and received a reply yesterday with an explanation, apology and restorative gesture today. First class response from Dave Hutchinson.
I suggest sending a polite email to info@warringtonwolves.com, identifying seat numbers/position etc and taking it from there.

| some fans are pasionate about warrington wolves rlfc and i dont blame them giving abuse to some players after or during a performance like that. If children hear it it isn't a good thing but it will be nothing they don't hear off others in school and out and about. Alot of these people are 'true fans' who pay good money to come an watch the shower of sh*t*. and have every right to voice there opinion yes its a family sport and that is what the club will be trying to promote but what do you expect at a rugby match. It is a fact you will hear swearing and things that you dont want your children to hear but you are going to that is a fact. If thats to much to bear for you and your family then dont come, i rerly dont no what some people expect 'fans' to behave like. I for one did not throw any abuse personaly but wot do you think us fans should do clap and cheer them off, we deserve better and have done for a number of years. It makes me feel angry just writting this thinking how poor the playeres perform, its a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!

| The thing is if you're [ithat[/i passionate about your club, why would you behave in a manner that could potentially deprive the club of thousands of pounds of lost revenue and lost supporters. Mostly, if kids can't or won't go to matches, parents who struggle to get child minders can't go, either. Double whammy of a loss there.
Anybody wearing the club colours/badge are representing the club. I don't think that in the heat of the moment in the stands is the best time and place to vent your splein. A few of us had a bit of a discussion in the pub afterwards, amongst ourselves, throwing opinions around, as opposed to behaving in a manner that would give a bad impression of ourselves and our club.
