| I listened to Watson's post match interview from yesterday's Salford v Leeds game. He wasn't happy with the referee, and made reference to referees making decisions that can effect relegation and players livelihoods. I thought it very odd that he was talking about relegation after just four games, and on that basis I would give him a very wide berth.

| It is also bad form to publicly berate a young referee no matter how bad you thought he was. We have a huge problem with the lack of referees and is it any wonder when coaches talk about them like that? Watson is not the man for us.

| Watson isn’t the answer for Wire. Compare his post game rants with the insightful and intelligent views of Trent Robinson.

Dear Fellow Supporter,
Enjoy watching BMM, D Clark & young Ashton ... it's fun
Enjoy the buzz of the Halliwell Jones
Be thankful you don't support some other clubs around us
Be grateful for supporters putting money into the club ... cos they love the Wire
But most of all ... please don't keep banging that same old negative drum

Week before he was moaning about Kev Brown's head butt target (forget who it was now) feigning injury. He seems under pressure, wonder if the threat to players' livelihoods is more of a financial than an officiating thing.

I also get people want to complain, but this topic consists of the same thing over and over. I think we all know who stands where and why by now.'"
Lest we forget, there are some that have been complaining since his appt, since the early part of his first season, since we got to the challenge cup and since we got to the gf.
They'd already made their minds up, and wont vary that, its almost as if they enjoy wallowing in poor form so they can jump up and down and say, look at me, im right.
It's a bit sad really.

It is sad. But it's a problem with forums.
In real life if someone keeps being negative and boring in a bar you just ignore them and shuffle round to talk to someone else. But on a forum ... never played, never coached, not a clue ... but here is my opinion ... Herbert Thringblatt is useless and Jimmy Jimmyjams ought to be in charge.

| Interestingly, there's an almost identical thread going on over at Hull FC forum and you can bet your life mumblings of discontent will be surfacing soon at Salford.
Hull are virtually a carbon copy of us, of course. Wealthy owner, couple of CC wins, nice stadium, huge potential in the squad but still not taking the next step.
Maybe the world is less forgiving, maybe social media allows people to vent thoughts they previously kept hidden, maybe it's the English disease or maybe there's a lot of rubbish coaches about.

You used to hear all this stuff said at Wilderspool. If we were getting beat at halftime you would always get some robust punditry in the bogs behind the Fletcher Street End.

It's all to do with expectations. Hull & Warrington supporters have relatively high expectations of pushing Saints & Wigan this year. This increases the pressure & the discontent. However I doubt if many realistic Salford fans will be expecting too much this year.
When Wire were bang average there wouldn't have been anywhere near the fuss at losing at Wakefield and struggling to beat Toronto. Winning the Challenge Cup & finishing 4th in the League would be a call for a knighthood for the Coach.

I remember when we were bang average there being a sit in after losing to Huddersfield and when we lost to Widnes people went and confronted Matt Rodwell in front of his family in the car park.

His remarks were definitely aimed at officials making wrong decisions that could lead to a clubs relegation. Nothing mentioned about Salford's financial situation.
