What about fireworks? Someone could smuggle in some rockets and bangers and we could have an electric atmosphere at the HJ, imagine Joel Monaghan going in at the corner and then someone in the South Stand firing off a load of rockets to celebrate.

The other good one is automatic firearms, have you seen when Iran qualified for the world cup their fans were firing guns into the air and it looked awesome.

So if you aren't a hooligan why put your scarf around your face as though you are some bad ass paramilitary thats wanting to avoid being seen by the police. It just makes you look like a sad wannabe. Like those students on marches that wear the V for Vendetta masks as though they are some dangerous revolutionary and they complain when they get kettled for half an hour.

The Brigantes (what does that actually mean?) tweeted a picture of themselves wearing V for Vendetta masks on the 658 bus to Leigh the other week- hilarious. A few of them walked through the bus station after the Westwood game wearing balaclavas and scarves over their faces trying to look intimidating. Comical!

If you want an example of what Ultra fans are like, just hop on Eurostar and be in the Boulogne area when PSG are at home. It's frightening.

The Wigan Ultras/Brigantes are just a bunch of idiots who need stamping on quickly.

Whilst these so called fans are thinking they are Ronnie & Reggie Kray, The majority are probably sheep following young adults trying to gain some kudos with the ring leaders. It would be interesting if banning orders would be introduced for any perpetrators just like football.

RL doesn't need this type of toothless simpletons involved in our great game. The fact that a small proportion of them are calling themselves Brigantes makes it even worse.

Am all for an atmosphere and some colour and works at the game. All you get in the south stand is someone doing that daft whilst. Then a group cheering it.

Very flat at the Hj again this season.

The Brigantes were the ruling "tribe" or Kingdom about 2000 years ago over what is now Greater Manchester, Lancashire, parts of Cumbria, West and North Yorkshire; the area was called Brigantia. They were the most powerful of all the Briton/Celtic tribes of what is now Great Britain. Cartimandua was the Queen and there's quite a well known story about her and her husband going to battle against each other because she had formed good links with the Roman Empire and he didn't like it.

It was a surprise to me when these Wigan fans adopted that name as it covered so much of Northern England and is not specific to Wigan, at all.

The two sets of Poznań and Napoli fans I spoke to both said the same thing as each other. If any within their Ultras group started any trouble they were kicked out. They we're only about making noise and bringing colour to their clubs' games.

Both clubs do have huge hooligan followings too, many groups have big banners like an Ultras style banner. But I was told they are not Ultras.

Napoli Ultras will slash anyone with glee. I don't think Wigan have much in common with Napoli though!
