| I've seen 2 young Wire halfbacks play in the past few weeks and the better one is playing at Widnes from what i've seen. I thought O'Brien had a real alround game and looked like a 'proper' halfback that can get you round the field.
I can't help feel watching Myler that he needs to be rid of the shackles of playing halfback and give him a Rob Burrow style role off the bench playing at hooker. His support game around the middle of the field would be exceptional.

| When will everyone start looking at other players on the pitch?? Ritchie is a young lad with years ahead of him but everyone expects him to be a leader now. Our pack has so much experience in it but no-one is taking the lead at the minute. The experienced players have to be accountable for games as well as the young ones!

Sounds about right. His defence has improved over and above what Salford's view was when we bought him but for me he isn't a half back. He should be running at defences and wanting the ball> Seems too happy to pass it on and thinks he's done his lot. He's no Sean Long

| Smith has a problem with Myler. I mean imagine advocating a £200K spend on a transfer and god knows what wages for a player who has not yet lived up to his billing and then disrupts camp morale. Having said that I quite like him but as other posters have said I'd want a lot more from a halfback.

| Ive never rated Myler and never will, even though he plays with a number 7 on his back i still see him as a poor mans early version of Danny McGuire.
I don't buy into this theory either that your scrum half is only as good as the pack he's playing behind, ive seen some of the best scrum halves in the world drag their team to victory with a piece of magic/individual brilliance when their team and pack have been 2nd best.

| Put it this way: what does Myler actually do for the team?

| It was the decision making for me. Silly passes, forcing the blind side when it wasnt on, every step he did seemed to be back into the ruck. I have been disappointed for a few weeks with Mylers attack.

Disrupt it and alienate half of them pre-season? His defence has improved and I have a soft spot for him him but he is not justifying his wedge, not by a long chalk. Great at backing up and has improved in goal line defence and saved a few tries. But he wasn't the reason we lost. Morley, Wood and Carvel failed to deliver - again.

| Think Myler has to be given a shot at 9. Coming off the bench with his pace he may get into the game more.
For me Waterhouse had the chance to step up and lead with Benny out and he didn't. Team needs a shake up couple of players walking into the 17 that shouldn't
Riles played his heart out yet again, best player on the pitch for us!

Not sure whats up with Paul Wood, has he had a bang to the head recently and come back as Danny Ward ?
Moz will always give it 100%, thats never in doubt but his age is probably catching up with him now. We missed Westwood but i'm not sure even that would have been enough tonight, Michael Monaghan aint right at all, he's not moving with much zip, everything seems to be in 2nd gear by his standards.

| Hill was best player on pitch tonight
Riley had another good game tonight
Myler needs to have an interchange hooker role his defence this season has been his best feature this season I think he is mainly a support player
Wood was absolutely awful tonight and has been for a while other than Hill the forwards ought to be ashamed of themselves
Team needs shaking up a bit show that no one is guaranteed a spot give mccarthy and co a go if they put effort in an give it a go then as a fan thats the least you want to see from your team

| ONLY IN WARRINGTON
Congratulations Richie. You've now become Warrington's new official Scapegoat. You poor lad.
I hope some of you "supporters" are proud of yourselves.
Some of the 5hite posted on this thread is unbelievable. I'm no huge fan of Myler, but this is really something else.
What more could the LAD do. He's playing in a side that is LITERALLY throwing the ball everywhere, but to a team mates hands. How is he he supposed to distribute the ball, when, in the early plays of a set of six (remember them), our team's forwards seem to want to get rid of the ball, quicker than a dose of the clap. THE FORWARDS ARE CONSTANTLY LETTING THE TEAM DOWN. A set of six! We can't manage a set of 3, even before we let our halves put their influence on the game.
Yes, Myler has yet to CONSISTANTY show his £200k transfer fee, but he's hardly been poor, has he.In fact, on the whole, he's been bloody good.
Some of you lot just HAVE to have a scapegoat, dont you.
Win as a team, lose as a team.
@@@@ me, if this was warfare, I wouldn't want a good few of you backstabbers in the same trench as me.

| We simply want the best for our team. I think we sent the wrong player out on loan.

| Lefty, if the guy is crap then people will have an opinion on it, sometimes he will actually be crap, tonight for me he was average.
Now if people blame the loss on him that's a different matter and i'm with you on that.
