Takes the shine off going to Hull if we win. However no one can take the monent of being there and finishing top away.

I also agree that it will take the edge off receiving the trophy especially if we lost to Huddersfield in the Playoff Game.

However i can understand the reasoning behind it, if Wigan win and we lose, they get the Shield at home. By the same token we will be presented with it at Home also.

I completely concur, watched my first game 51 years ago, 38 years of losing deserves a tear or two.

Another 30+ year fan and just trying to sort out my tickets and transport. Hoping to go to the game with my 13 year+ (since she actually decided that she wanted to go to the rugby with dad!) daughter fan. Her last Wolves game before she heads off to university.

Saw my first game at Wilderspool in 1967 - against Whitehaven, I seem to recall. We were rubbish back then, I can tell you! Even so, a long time to wait ( since 1973) for a chance at league leaders and even the championship.

I thought you guys hadn't won the championship since the 1954-55 season. 56 years, that's one hell of a wait.

We finished top in 73 but Dewsbury won the play-offs that year. 54-55 was the last time we won the championship outright and you're correct - it is one hell of a wait!
