| Can you still get a pint of Greenalls anywhere these days I know that it was being brewed in Burton but that was a few years ago.
I would hate to think how many pints of Greenalls bitter ive drank over the years.

i used to love the stronger one, can't remember what it was called now. must have had too many of them. the fleece & the church in lymm used to run out!
i have always thought we should use the greenall whitley song as a terrace chant....if nothing else, its original......
...thats it....greenalls original, thats what i used to drink!!!

Saw Melanie Sykes on Finchley Road on our way to Wembley 2009 - she got a fair bit of stick

Try "Postlethwaite" in the Rodney, they taste similar.

| I remember the Vladivar ads - hence the name.
Orangiboom ads were best though - "it's a lager not a tune..."

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

What did the bloke in the advert get sent down for though? That's what I want to know.
If he did something 'honest' like a bank job, fair enough. If it's wounding with intent, or some sort of drugs crime I'm not sure Greenalls should have been glorifying him.
I WANT THE TRUTH
*tees up someone for obvious come back*

That Grunhalle DB Pils (in bottles) was drinkable tho, mark...and I hate PILS normally

| Lots of crap lager you don't see anymore thankfully; Harp (stays sharp to the bottom of the glass), Tennents, Skol, Kestrel, Slalom (sponsored the reserves competition).
Before it became more available, lager was a ladies drink!
(Mind you some of the stuff now is just as bad, it is just served so chilled so you can't taste it).

| Normal lager (Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg and the stuff you used to see - labatts, XXXX etc) is just chemically mass produced horse weewee with no taste at all(imo)
If and when I drink lager, it's Stella, Becks, Kronenberg, or any of the blonde beers..on the whole, not tampered with stuff.
Long live Guinness and guest ales...at least some taste

| Stella and Kronenbourg (unless you buy the imported stuff) is the same as the rest, mass produced down in Slough. It just has better marketing.
The big change looking back was that most of the lager in the 80s and 90s was 3.2% volume and very weak, at least it is better now.
Mind you if you want proper beer, you can't get better than some of the ales produced by small local brewers. I love the bitters produced by Badger in the West Country. Fancy a pint right now.

| i'd say kronenburg is a little bit better, i'd consider that a better version of stella, without the wifebeating tendancies, i had a massive thing for that a few years ago.
Stella on the other hand i can't touch, due to a being sick for 5 hours after drinking it for 9 hours incident. Every bit that came up tasted exactly the same and if i even smell it now it takes me back to that exact moment, i cna't eat southern fried chicken either for the exact same reason.
Lager of choice now, for away games mainly is Tuborg, its juuuuuust right.
