| I didn't think the lad did much wrong tbh.
He was pumped up(woooooooooooo) if nothing else
He looked like he'd taken something in the first half!

| he has an ok game you cant use him as the scapegoat i thort there was lots of worse performances e.g blythe, mathers. However atleast mathers n penny looked up for the fight trying to get the team going despite 20points down were as alot of the team had lost hope n waiting for the final to come

I can't help but feel there must be certain sections of Wire fans with abit of a grudge against the lad if they felt he should be sacked off after tonight.
He didn't do much wrong in a team who's minds looked elsewhere. I don't want this to turn into another Mathers vs Gleeson slanging match but if Tony Smith can get the confidence back into Mathers after the way he looked shot at Wigan i think he can work his magic on Penny.
Hope Wire give him some time and I think they will.

Sad isn't.
Yeah he does get sucked in, but i thought he did well tonight. Especially getting peppered by bombs and kicks all night, handled them very well. Shame he didn't get a chance to shine in attack.

| Don't think he did anything wrong today TBH. Flew out of the line on a few occasions but it's something you see a lot with wingers. Would still leave him out next week if Hicks is available, but early signs are positive IMO.

If its what I think it is then I know what you're saying.
Always had this niggling feeling in the back of my mind about why certain sections of Warrington's support seem to dislike Penny so much.

| Unfortunately no matter what he does a small
minority will always have a pop at him, think
its a jealousy thing or education ,if a player
pulls on your teams shirt you should at least
support them hence the term supporter .

| Give the man a break, i still feel he could be one of the biggest attacking threats in Super League, look how long Saints stook with Ade Gardner before he started to become more of a consistent winger, the mans got talent, he's from Warrington, Why on christs earth do some fans not get behind him!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Ade Gardner can play for Saints and GB(England) then Kevin Penny can achieve plenty aswell.
I'd back Smith to mould him into a good winger. The thing i noticed about him tonight was how safe and solid he looked. He always been a threat and could score sensational trys but tonight for the first time i can remember he didn't looks like a rabbit in the headlights in defence and coped pretty well with anything we threw at him.

Good to see opposing fans can see his potential, both ourselves and Wigan have got some real promising players coming through along with St Helens which bodes well for the North West region as a whole
