I think that there is an element of Wire fans that think just because we have money to spend, and probably money on the salary cap that we should sign anyone who becomes available...!
Just because we lost the opening game of the season there's no need to panick... Sammut is a Dennis Moran type luxury journey man player and not what we need.
The fact that none of the top clubs were interested in him says it all... This is just grabbing at straws and reminds me of when a few people wanted Shaun McCrae as our coach a few years back...

Totally agree with this, I think people have gone way over the top after one game (we were awful) but we will improve! |
