He's make the Charlton Midget seem pro RL.
Inverdale is your typical anti RL, 3 point obsessed, numpty, that the Beeb seem to employ.
Remember those days of Sunday Grandstand, when they used to show the highlights of the previous night's Test match. Cringeworthy. He hates our game with a passion. He'd interview Davies after the highlights, and try and get the conversation on to Union. Ghastly man (but a bloody good broadcaster).'"
IMO the Beeb should go all out to try and poach Phil Clarke from Sky, he has got the passion and enthusiasm for RL that all our supporters crave. He would be able to showcase to a national audience our game's great young talent like Tomkins, Charnley etc.

Since when the Beeb ever use more than half their when it comes to the effort they put into RL coverage? We'll get whichever roving reporter happens to be free that day, and if Inverdale gets the gig, I'll boo and hiss until my throat is ho and bloodied.

CB has now signed a contract with Channel 4 (the Beeb loses ALL horse racing on Jan 01 2013) so she'll be fronting C4's gee-gee coverage on a Saturday afternoon, which rules out RL. It looks like we've (RL) seen the last of her . Sad day. Nice to have some enthusiasm for our game, on national media.'"
Think Inverdale would prefer to cut off parts of his anatomy with a rusty hacksaw then soil himself introducing RL Lefty. I watched a little bit of the beeb's 6 nations (i know, i know) coverage and on a couple of occasions Jiffy mentioned about how RL coaching (Shaun Edwards and Mike Ford) had improved Yawnions defence over the last few years. Inverdale squirming in his seat and desperation to change the subject was excellent viewing.

| If the bbc have lost Ms Balding, they have a couple already to take her mantle like a certain Tanya Arnold or George Riley, both well clued up on their RL

| "Tanya Arnold".. well here voice is certainly deep enough to continue with the whole 'Man-woman' legacy left by Balding.

| Get Helen Skelton to report at RL ....... we might get some favourable coverage (if RM behaves himself), but love to see half-pint Skelton trying to reach up high enough to interview Crabtree with a microphone!

| I thought there was some talk that although she has gone to Channel 4 she could be staying on for some sports. If so I hope she keeps her R.L. spot.
I think she is genuinely interested in our game and enjoys it and the people involved in it. This is especially good coming from someone with her background. Most of the people we see on tv are, of course, from the game itself but it is important to have more general presenters too. Watching her during the Olympics when she was asked to cover lots of sports that were new to her it was clear that she really did her homework and worked hard. Most impressive.
I suppose the BBC could foist anyone on us!
As for her love for the Wires I'm less sure of that. I think she has a soft spot for Leeds.
Her sexuality is of no importance whatsoever and I suspect she is a very genuine person. If we have to lose her let's hope we get someone with the same class.
