Not suprised by this. Thaler was struggling to make the 10 himself most over the game and spent a lot of time with his back to the player being tackled whilst trying to get back to the defensive line. He definitely had his back to play when the Briers was dumped on his head (wasn't much in it though).

I think if you look back at both incidents you'll see...

Yes but then that would mean Wire missing Westwood for the Wigan match later in the year. I also assume that if any of your players get cited in matches later in the season. Lets say Briers gets cited and found guilty against Wigan, Saints or Leeds on the 2nd game, you would be more than happy to have him missing from the next game which would be a playoff game or GF.

Most modern day justice systems require the punishment to be against the player rather than in favour of the victim. Hence if you get beaten up on a saturday night, the retribution would not be to let you whip the guy silly, but a 6 month suspended sentence. etc.

Also if its a 6 to 8 game ban, the player may not have enough years left in him to serve the sentence.

The Slug deserves to be up for discipline just because he couldn't help flapping his arms every two minutes at the ref.

What about when Bridge was lying unconcious on the pitch in fron tof the touch judge who did nothing to alert the ref to the problem.

Looking at the players warming up against saints there body language just did not seem right saints players looked more focused players talking to each other directing each other if one stepped out of line.

We seem to let clubs put points on us before we wake up then we have to fight harder to grind a result out.

Last season we was out the blocks hitting teams hard putting them on the back foot lets hope we can find this form again asap.

How would anyone be able to spot the difference.

I felt a little bit sick when Bridge was just lying on the floor completely motionless and seemed to be getting no attention whatsoever and the ref looked back and carried on, felt like running on myself it took that long.

I agree Yed, I thought it was terrible at the time.

I had to explain to my guest (who had never seen a rugby match in her life) what was happening and that it is usually a caring game and players receive attention quickly.

I have never been as embarrassed and, like you, YED so sick to my stomach at the attitude of one person to another.
