| I haven't seen any Saints games this year but I think they're crap and I can't see them making the top four this year. And Lee Gaskell used to be in Star Trek.

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

| I think there will be a noticeable improvement in the maturity of his game. He appears to have improved his pass selection, certainly on last night's showing.
I will reiterate what I have said previously; he will find it difficult to dictate the ebb and flow of how we play with the likes of Briers and Monaghan in the side, but he is slowly pushing his way in.

Agree with this 100%.
He will never be a defender in the Monaghan class, but he has clearly worked really hard on his positioning and use of the body in defence and attempts to belittle him as a 'weak defender' are either nonsense or based on an assessment made a few seasons ago. He will miss the odd one, but so will any of the smaller guys - Monas himself made a bad miss yesterday. I do love Myler's ability to hold the ball up over the line, he seems to do that loads.

Must have missed him holding up Chan in the first half. Did this on numerous occasions last year as well.

| I'm not slagging him off Mark but just saying the big guys do go looking for him, i've seen him like a limpit making sure they don't ground the ball but you can't deny that when he goes high up he's gets carried over.

What makes Brough so poor defensively is his lack of positional play. Now I've watched it back he was a mile out of position when Atkins broke through to feed Myler who then fed Riley for his 2nd try. How a Huddersfield fan can come on here and question Mylers defensive qualities with a player as poor as that is beyond me.

| I've not seen much of Kyle Eastmond this season, a couple of years ago the Saints fans were saying he was potentially the best player since Hanley/Robinson, but he's not exactly been setting SL alight?

| Most pleasing thing about Myler is how his game's changed. He was, legitimately, dropped for the CC and play offs in 2010 because his defence was so suspect, now you'd have him in against any team because they won't get much change out of him. Equally, his support running's really improved and you notice him popping up in positions he simply wouldn't have been in a season ago, giving the runner an extra option and pulling in defenders. Another season and you could see him being either first choice half back or hooker, when Briers and Monas aren't around as much.

I don't but i can have an opinion and i don't think i'm wrong, you're not going to get the opposition going "the lad is 21 ffs lets not target him"
Myler is a small lightweight player and away from our line i think he's a great defender, he goes low and misses few, but near the line you go low and the put the ball down anyway or offload so he has no choice and he does get carried over AND THAT'S WHY they target him, i'm not criticising the lad 'ffs', the only option he has and it won't always work is to tie up the ball and hope they can't ground it. It's an observation not a moan.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| alrite then your observation is beyond me that you can see that in a young player, teams have been targetting briers for his tackling for years. in my opinion they may run at him to try stop him getting involved in the attacking plays? all myler has to do in the line is slow the player down so other player can complete the tackle.
