That tag gets thrown at anybody that wins anything in any sport.
Wigan are arrogant now
Wire were arrogant for the last couple of years around late August
Leeds were arrogant for 3 years on the trot
Saints were arrogant for 10 years from 96 onwards
Even Bradford were arrogant once
and don't get me started on Manchester United.

I was too busy kicking the dog and pulling my hair out to be arrogant.
As for nowadays i'm just enjoying myself. Whatever happens in these play offs it's been another great season for us so what will be will be.
If Wire win the Grand Final i'll be the first to congratulate them. They have been superb this year.

| Saints finished top of the table in 2007 and 2008 with a superior points difference over everyone else. Yet lost to Leeds in the GF on both occasions. Winning the LLS is a fantastic achievement that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. But being the best team in the comp and finishing top doesn't always guarantee a GF win, as past history has shown.

I don't think that's entirely true. I couldn't tell you who won the 2006 GF, or most other years to be honest. It's all relative, most people remember things because they were important to them. I'm sure the teams that were involved in the 2006 GF remember who won, equally the people that went probably remember. But I don't think it's true to say that in 'x' amount of years "everyone will be able to name the 2011 Grand Final winners".

As Dolly Parton once said - you can't have the rainbow without the rain. It has absolutely pi$$ed down in Warrington for 35 years, we are currently dancing over the rainbow andI personally do not give one hoot what others say about us.
Wires - League Champions 2011'"
5 years? I've watched Saints win something like 20 or trophies and I can honestly say I didn't even bother to stay for the LLS presentations.
Honestly, you Warrington fans are so precious about your achievement and trying to big it up. Forget the small club we've never won anything routine, you are a fantastic club and from now on will probably be contesting every major trophy for the next decade or so. You (IMO) WILL win SL this season. Once you win that your opinions of the LLS will change. Trust me. It's like celebrating winning the National when you've still got a fence to jump.

Let me give you some advice sir / madam - don't come on to the Warrington Wolves web forum if it upsets you so much. Leave us to celebrate every achievement in our own way. It it offends, cross the street and just walk on by.
However, I suspect that a number of opposition fans (yourself included) would just love to be a Wire fan to enjoy the journey that we are currently on.
Believe !!

Wasn't it your precious St Helens club who pestered the RFL to award a trophy to the League Leaders to ensure that their superb achievements were recognised?

| I am a wigan fan but as an overall fan of the game, I think that warrington deserved top spot this year. For a team to score over 1000 points and not be league leaders would of been a bit of a mockery, also I still believe that the team that finishes top should be classed as the champions as it would make the system a bit of a disgrace if say one of the teams outside of wigan and warrington were crowned champions who finished between 7 and 17 points behind. I still think it is going to go down to wire, wigan, stains or leeds mind as you cant write any of them off yet
Oh yeah nearly forgot, Well done for finishing top

Certainly wasn't me. Mind you Saints would probably like recognising the League Leaders Shield because of our recent form in the Grand Final.
One good thing about Saints being bobbins this year is that I don't have to go and watch them lose in the rain at Old Trafford.

| Quote: NickyKiss "You can relax for a couple of weeks now but one thing is for sure you won't be relaxed when it comes to the semi and the final (well not if you have any nerves that is).
It's a strange experience a play off series from first position. You feel you've done the hard work by finishing first and that you should be winning the big prize but it's a new comp. I went in to the play offs last year thinking how unfair it would be to be the best side all year yet maybe not win the Grand Final but 1st place gives you nothing but a couple of little perks.
I didn't enjoy the semi at Leeds or the Grand Final until about the last 5 mins of both.
This year we can relax in the knowledge that we have some silverware in the bag already and we've got nothing to lose.'"
Aren't you the current SL Champions?

| Four years ago if someone had said that Wire would beat Wigan, Saints, Leeds and Bradford (the old top four) both home and away we'd have been laughed at. Time for those clubs to recognise Wire are here and accept it.
