Leave the team and TS to take care of aiming to win the league - and leave the fans to take care of supporting them, but [iplease[/i don't go on about winning the league in the way you do, because it makes it sound like you expect them to do it, and ultimately makes you look like a tool.
So what? Yes we won the cup, yes it was a great experience - that does not give us, as fans, the right to set our expectation levels so high as winning the league the following season... If TS and the players want to talk about aiming to win the competition in amongst themselves and in the media, that's a good thing, they are aiming for the right prize, but that doesn't give you the right to expect them to achieve it this season either.
Can I ask a question? How old are you?'"

You can ask, and I am in my 40's and have been successful in life so far, career etc, by believing that I can do it and aiming for what I want. This is all I am asking for wire. Success should bring the desire for more & more success, my experience is that people who aim for mediocrity achieve exactly that. This wasnt a dig at RM, I would love him to succeed but don't think he is quite performing to the standards expected at this point in time. The same could be said of King a couple of years ago and now look at him.

| Myler looked better at Salford. Possibly because he had to be a one man army.
Give him time, as everyones alluded to; 19 years old

exactly took a couple of years for the experienced king to start to hit the straps, myler is 19, new team and only 7 games under his belt, give the lad a chance, oh and one other point, tomkins, eastmond playing in their 2nd 1st grade season with the teams they came through the system with, so have been working and training with their respective clubs systems and players or does that not make a difference

You'll get the odd good kick here and there, an occasional flash of brilliance but the real skill behind there types of players is when they don't have the ball.'"
Spot on.
At the moment without Briers' creativity we are ed, and look one dimensional in attack.

| Myler was poor last night and was against Bradford. I fully understand hes 19 and will get better and better, but as a scrum half he should be more creative and guide the side round the field. His kicking game is poor and some of the kicks he put in im sure he never told anyone what he was going to do. I dont for one minute think Myler is one of the reasons we lost the game, but at times in attack we just looked lost and completely unorganised and the same could be said about last week. I think he is lacking confidence and maybe is struggling to cope with his price tag and the pressure of playing at a bigger club. I think he is a great talent and will be one of the club great players in years to come, but last night he was poor!

The art of Rugby League Tactics According to Dally Messenger

SO are Eastmond and Tomkins and both are light years ahead and nor do they need to rely on someone else in order for them to perform.
Put me next to Lee Briers and im sure id do alright too

| Of all the players in team, Briers injury has probably helped him the least. Getting Briers back training & playing, and getting some continuity will help him.'" ]
I agree with what youre saying but dont all good/great young players step up and shine alone? Remember Warrington has far more experianced and in my biast oppinion better players than Salford so Ritchie wont shine as much. IMO he needs to be more confidant and want the ball more ala Tomkins and Eastmond. Big price tag deserves a big game player, Thats not having ago.

I know I'm butting in as a Saints fan but since you mentioned Kyle ...
Kyle began to shine as a no.7 when Leon began to play. Kyle is a young player who is very much learning his trade. He has a certain flash, a sidestep and a swerve which probably means he is noticed more readily than Myler. He is also pretty versatile. He scored all our points at the GF from the centre spot. He has covered fullback a few times now and is slowly picking up the role. But he is only in the early stages of his no.7 career and without his partner functioning well, he does not make the impact he makes when Leon is on form. But then the halfbacks are partners and so even when both are very experienced, if one is not functioning well, the other will suffer and overall play will not be as good.

| Myler is what he is a 19 year old raw talent, who will get better.I am happy with what he has done in a Wire shirt so far,off cause they is room for improvment. He is only young,so some of his decision will be wrong some of the time.An when that wrong decision is made, its upto the coaching staff to put right.Myler is, for me one of the top prospect in world rugby. He will only get better.
