"Martin Gleeson has been seeking a change of club for some time and talk of a club in the NRL has been previously rumoured.
Tony Smith is happy to accommodate the move for the player.
An agreement has been finalised with Wigan Warriors and Martin Gleeson is therefore released with immediate effect. A six figure compensation sum has been agreed with Wigan Warriors.
Tony Smith has again reconfirmed that only players fully committed to Warrington Wolves are wanted at the club".

I have mixed feelings about his move, but then I trust TS so if he feels that this is best for the team then that will do for me.
A little concerned about Mathers the other way (but again, I trust TSs' judgement on this too). Any truth that we wanted a £50k cash only deal, but wigan insisted on £100k + Mathers? |
