I've heard LMS described in many ways but can honestly say that brilliant has never been one of them.

| I could describe the annoying Michael McIntyre lookalike in many ways.
Brilliant isn't one of them
The others would not so much break the swear filter, more shatter the Internet

| Quote: Saddened! "In regards to the NRL or the best teams in Super League, not particularly highly as the standards have dropped dramatically. But when you compare them to the current SL sides, you're doing very well to have all the players you do for the money you are paying. GI, if he's even a fraction of his former self will be the best in SL next season, D Clark is world class. Ratchford, Charnley, Austin, Widdop, Hill, Cooper, Hughes, BMM, Philbin, Lineham, Currie, J Clark for me all fall into that category of good/very good Super League players and likely to be on big money, but not world class individually. A lot of trash still kicking about though with the likes of Akauolo, Mamo, Patton, Gelling, Burrell etc. Ashton a potential superstar and NRL bound if he develops.
I think this season would have ended up with Saints top and Warrington second had a normal season ensued, with the caveat that our coach may well be a dud and we might have been having a terrible season by now. In terms of the quality of players I'd still put Saints over Warrington (We walked Super League last season) but with the gap slashed due to Holbrook leaving, with Wigan and Cas making up the top four. You could well have beaten us at OT.
Next season if you just add Inglis and replace BMM with an equivalent or better you could well swap places with us. We've got 5 forwards out of contract, so a lot will depend on what is available and whether any of them stay. Rumours of LMS to London, Ashworth to Cas, Peyroux to the NRL, Amor to Wakefield and Taia retiring. I'm not sure if it'll be a difficult time to persuade players to move clubs given the uncertainty the virus has created, or whether there will be clubs looking to cut wages and a wave of players resisting that and looking to move.'"
Ratchford just good? Have a word with yourself....and I’m not even going to bite over the LMS quote.

| LMS would have been a good asset for us to have had over the last few years. Ratchford is, like Saddened said, in the 'good/very good' rather than world class category.
We should be realistic about our squad. The proof is in results. In the last year we've played 21 SL games and our record is won 8, lost 13. Fans were talking about being disillusioned with rugby league because we were so boring to watch.

However, how much is to do with the coach. Look at the difference Holbrook made at Saints with basically the same player group that Cunningham had.

| Sure, but Price is going to be the coach for 2021, nobody is talking about replacing him. It wouldn't be practical to bring in a new coach with restrictions in place on training etc.
So the relevant question is, is the current squad good enough to win the Grand Final in 2021 with Steve Price as coach. Or more realistically are we looking at 2021 as a season where we are at the margins of making/not making the playoffs, and we're going to have players/coaches saying to the media "if we make the playoffs, anything can happen". Which is basically like my Nan saying if you don't play the lottery you never know if you could have won a million. There's a reason why the GF winners are always Leeds, Wigan or Saints. If 'anything can happen' then Hull, Cas, Salford would have won some.
Then 2022 as a rebuild under a new coach and hopefully looking to build a GF contending side in 2023 to 2025 or so. Fair enough as a strategy but signing Inglis makes less sense in that light.

| The extended interview on Sky Sports on demand service is worth a watch. Roughly about 20 minute long interview with Brian Carney; does seem as though money isn’t a motivator as when know he isn’t on marquee money and another reason behind joining Wire is a lot down to the relationship we have with the Rabbitohs as well his good friendship with J.Clark.

My response related to you saying we should be realistic about the squad. I don’t think we got as much as we should have from the squad available last season, I’m hoping Price has learned some lessons and will extract more of the potential and results will hopefully be better this season than last.

| Funny season this one. Will depend more on depth of squads as much as talent. A lot of rugby to get through.

I hope so too but being a Wire fan means being familiar with this situation from the Cullen years.

| I'm hearing alot of people cite the friendship with Jason Clark being the reason Inglis has signed.
It's warmed my heart this one. Didn't realise Big Greg was such a sentimental soul.
Think this story deserves more mention, as true dedication and nostalgia for a friendship is the stuff of Disney films!

| Hopefully when Inglis goes we will find out that James Tedesco was best mates with Blake Austin when they played at Wests.
