I received several calls from my father last night to say that he was having problems getting it on his tv. I tried to talk him through the process / suggest a few things, but it ended up with him calling me back at 10pm to say that he'd been on to Sky and the outcome was that they were sending him a new remote control this week (his existing box should be ok).
Given that he's 92 (listeners to the 'What Would Brian Bevan Say?' podcast may know him by his pseudo name of Alan London but, despite what my brother may tell you, he isn't 103), and very deaf, I pity the poor woman in the call centre who had to deal with him.'"
My old man was on with sky for an hour he's got an old sky plus digital box, probably 15 years old if not more Thurs he eas told it was fine, last night he was told he needed a q box, as minimum, they were offering him two to placate him, but sept before it could be installed |

So just to clarify this Sky Sports + isn’t on my normal package which is costing me £110 per month as Sky can well and truly eff off if they think I’m paying anymore?

You need to update it to 360 depending what type of set top box you've got.
Theyve issued new firmware and a new remote recently, you've got to update this and then you can get access to the red button.
It looks like it doesn't transfer existing recordings, so it's like a clean wipe |

I think the crux of this, its a bug push to cut down on illegal streaming, so it's a tech change, also seems like sky are pushing their current gen tech |

It’s cut down nothing people are still able to use dodgy sticks. |
