And if he plays and knocks on to gift Hull KR a try, then the same people will say he shouldn't have played (remember Salford they'll say).

Not what I would pick, as stated previously I think Longstaff should be on the field, but that’s what I think we will see.

| I would probably go with
Ashton
Charnley
Mamo
King
Thewlis
Williams
Widdop
Hill
Clark
Mulhern
Longstaff
Currie
Hughes
Ratch
Clark
Sita
Philbin
Ain't gonna happen, my only concern there is the tight side longstaff and mamo is undersized against Kenny dowell and linnett.
But as I've mentioned on here, I'm a fan of as few changes as possible, I'd start Hughes in the middle rotation, Ratch to cover wherever and austin can bugger off

Austin did himself no favours against Cas, and he doesn't warrant a place in the 17 for me. Hope that King and D Clark are both fully fit.

Agree with the starting lineup but I would change the bench. I don't think austin did enough last time out. Ashton has to be involved for me, I'd have walker on the bench to cover Clark. IF we get the game sewn up early (I don't think we will) then Clark can be rested and kept fresh. Obviously a lot depends on he fit the returners actually are. I suppose Ashton could come on at fullback and Ratchford could cover Clark as well in which case longstaff on the bench.
I just hope we win and come through it with a clean bill of health.

| A bit left-field here, but do we really need Charnley in at the moment? I’d rather have the experience of Ratchford at the back for the playoffs, with Ashton’s pace available from the wing and Thewlis’ undoubted talent on the other side. Sure, that’s 3 fullbacks in the team, but how specialist do you actually need a winger to be? Especially in this Price team?

Think you've answered your own question there but for a different reason.
Charney's is needed to take those early carries, especially (presumably) without Lineham in the team.

For me, Lineham has been better at the hard yards on tackle 1 and 2, than Charnley has this season. You have to weigh that against the possibility of a rash moment and a card being waved.

| Logical. We've a surfeit of wingers to choose from so we choose a prop.

I reckon there will be a couple of surprises when the team is announced.
