I was at Wembley in 1960 when the Queen was there to present the cup to Wakefield. Had a few complimentary words too for Hull player Tommy Harris who won the Lance Todd trophy despite Hull taking a shellacking in the match.

Was at Wembley for the first time when Warrington won in 1950 but cannot remember who presented it. Ditto when you won the replay in 1954 at Odsal.

We had a caravan at Rhyl for about 10yrs.Just sold it before the place went into decline.Terrible shame how quickly a place can lose its charm.

The difference is acute...drove through Towyn and it was rammed to busting...carried on into Rhyl...it was like a ghost town.
