| It's been proven with exceptional players that being a clever footballer can offset some loss of pace... like Bridge and Briers... does Currie enter that equation?

| Quote Fantastic Mr Cat="Fantastic Mr Cat"i actually would send him to rochdale, i said about 2 week ago maybe he needs a few weeks out of the first team.
Yes he's clearly fit and we've not had any wobbles like last time when we were all cringing, but even taking reduced pace into account he's not attacking anything like he used to, give him a week or 2 at rochdale, its a bit slower, he can work on getting his timing right on them offloads/passes, at the moment when he is given the ball he's hot potatoing it getting rid as fast as possible.
I think you're right also about the out wide ball or lack of, its the same issue with king and charnley and their scoring rates going down.'"
I'd see your point if Rochdale weren't so terrible. They've scored an average of 14.7 points a game so far this season. They've conceded an average of 43.7 points.
All he'd be working on there is his defending . . .
He'd need to go to a top Championship club for that to work, but I'd prefer if he stayed at Warrington.

| I'd give this year to get back in the swing of things and settle into the team and then next year expect him to be playing close to his best rugby...only worrying thing is that even currie playing at the level he is atm no one is pushing him out of the team or making there own claim for the his spot.

| I'll say it again, he was judged to be MoM on Saturday. What more does he have to do to satisfy his critics?

| Toby King is only just returning to the form he left during his bad injury and he's had a longer period of condition.

Consistently perform at a high level.
MoM against bottom of the league is hardly enough to satisfy those who think/know/hope he can perform much better. If it's the start of a series of high performances, then I'll be a happy man. If he plays his best game against a poor(ish) team who aren't challenging at the top of the table, it doesn't mean much.

| I can recall someone on here calling Currie a coward pre-injury, probably the same person who told me all Phil Blake ever did was score tries.
I repeat, Currie is the most skilful player at the club and his best years are still to come.

| Currie hasn't cost us a game, a league placing or a place in the cup and we should be chuffed he's still fit to play. One more similar injury and it's career over. Currie deserves a season's grace due to his proven class and real class it is.

Indeed.
I’ve said before, injuries can have more of a long term effect on someone psychologically than physically.
Let him feel comfortable mentally and let him have trust in his knees first. If might be fit physically again now but mentally he might take another six months.
